OUCH
I got a flu shot at Walgreens today. My arms feels like it has been gnawed on by a dinosaur.
Last year, granted, I was pregnant, but the flu shot knocked me out for 2 days straight.
I am skeered that DS's shot is going to hurt that bad. Moms, tell me it won't!
How is everyone's day today. Tell me something juicy.

DD has had 2 flu shots so far, and didn't make a sound for either of them.
Juicy? Nothing juicy. Except maybe the pork tenderloin I have in the crockpot

I'm scared for DS to get the flu shot too. And he gets in a few weeks. Eek! I think they get a bunch of shots at the 12 month check, right?
I'm jealous of DrL's dinner. DH is traveling so I'll probably have nothing interesting for dinner. I don't bother to cook much when he's gone.
And as far as something juicy... I have nothing.

I am judging this mom on FB for something she posted. It's about how our babies are at the age where they know if they cry, mom comes to cuddle them and how they are breaking that habit now. I am judging her because
a. I would just cuddle. because when he's 13 he isn't going to cuddle with me anymore.
b. I hate her baby's name.
I'm probably going to get my flu shot this week too. My arm always hurts afterward for days.
I judge her, too. I hate that theory. And I can be extra judgey about it, because we don't plan on having kids, so it won't bite me in the arse, heh.
I have nothing juicy except the fact that I am bitter because yet another person here is leaving, and it's not me. And I got rejected for another job yesterday morning (9:15 on a Monday - what a spectacular start to the week!), when I didn't even get past the phone interview. I suspect they actually had someone in mind, because the job was posted, pulled and closed out in 2 weeks, and that is unheard of around here. It took me a month for a promotion in my own department!

I need to go get my flu shot but haven't gotten around to it. In the past they did the shots at work so I didn't really have to think about it. this year I have to go on my own and I just haven't. thanks for the reminder.
DD is going back to the Dr to get her 2nd flu shot tomorrow. Our pedi wouldn't do normal shots and the flu shot at the same time so we have gone in for shots every 2 weeks this month. She was fine with shots until she hit 12 months, the last few times she has cried. She is getting really cuddly with her stuffed animals so we just brought 1 along and a "group hug" with mama and/or dada and a stuffed animal calms her down almost immeadiately.
Aww a group hug. That melts my heart and I will be taking his "doggy" in with us too!
Work also does on site flu shots, but since I am off site, I get a voucher to go somewhere to get them. I wish the clinic was the week I am up there, but of course they are the week before and the week after!
