Did anyone else watch the new episode last night? I really hope Carl makes it. As long as they can get the supplies, but how the heck are they going to get out of the school alive? And I wonder if they'll ever find the girl. Seems like she's been gone too long at this point.

I mean, I realize I've never experienced a zombie attack (
), so maybe it makes sense if I had - but really? Attacking zombies makes cars crash and flip over??
I don't know... I'm just not feeling this season yet the way I did last! I hope something changes soon.

I so agree with everyone who's posted so far. This season has been B-O-R-I-N-G so far. I kept on turning to my husband when we were watching last night going, "Okay I don't care about this...where's the zombies??"
Did we really need the opening with Shane telling Rick's wife that he'd been shot? I don't care about that back story unless they're going to show how the zombie epidemic started.
Can't wait to see next week how Shane and Otis get out of that high school with the equipment because right now they're up a creek without a paddle.
I couldn't agree more!!!! I get that it's a TV series so everything doesn't solve itself in one episode, but COME ON!!! I wish there was more about the story of WHAT happened {even if there were more mysteries and questions about that}, why there are zombies, etc.... The need to survive AND to get answers, or at least search more for answers. So many cool possibilities and a missing child and now a shot child is the best they could come up with?! I'm pretty over this drama between characters. There are just too many and quite frankly, I'm losing what interest I had in all of them.
I don't know.... I hope there is a point to all of this.

I can see this happening, although it seems like they really focused on how slow and winded he was getting when they were running back to the farmhouse, so I think he just won't be able to keep up and the zombies will get him, rather than him willingly giving himself up to them.
How is it that my BABY is going to be 3?

LOL at that one! That's what DH and I were thinking when he and Shane were running in the field towards the house after Carl was shot! He's not going to last long because he's not very fast.
Zombieland...love that movie!
Don't normally post but just jumping in on the massive car mess. I live in Houston, about 4 years ago there was a category 5 hurrican hitting straight to us. Afew days before it hit everyone was leaving. It normally takes 30-40 minutes for us to get from downtown Houston to the woodlands. Well with so many people on the road it took us 8.5 hours. Our plan was to head to Dallas, but after that we had to stop at a friends in the woodlands and stay there.
It was the scariest thing I had ever seen. All the gas stations along the road were closed with no gas. Cars were left on the sides of the freeways, it was mass panic.
Anyways I'm loving the show so far!
YES! That's all I would think of when Otis volunteered to go!
did anyone else think that the walkers outside the school/fema trailer seemed a lot faster when they were chasing after Shane & Otis than some of the previous chases?
my greatest fear is that the walkers are going to get smarter- like the zombie/vampire things in I Am Legend
i also thought it was a pretty dumb move to just open the fema trailer door and step out w/o checking to see where the zombie action was at- those flares weren't going to keep them busy for long, where was the exit plan?
i was hoping the little girl would have made it to the farmhouse, and if they kill Carl i will be very upset. he is just such a cute kid.
I agree with this, I am loving it!
This is EXACTLY what I said to my H!
I don't think Otis will be sacrificed. He said he was an EMT and he's probably going to be needed in order to save Carl's life. Maybe he'll be bitten but still help save the Carl then get put down? IDK
I'm so over the girl gone missing.
Blog!
otis and shane sure waited a long time behind that car before throwing out those flares, so it seems like they would have had plenty of time to come up with a plan for exiting the trailer, too.
you're welcome, lori, for tending to your little boy! good grief. i understand that lori is frantic with worry for carl, but she's really lucky that there was someone nearby with any medical knowledge whatsoever, esp. enough to possibly save his life. who cares if he's a vet. glass half full, lori!
lol. agree w/ this. i mean, would you like to go find another surgeon during this life threatening emergency, during a zombie apocolypse? she annoyed me. the vet at least has surgical training. rick got on my nerves too. thinking he was going to go to the school to help shane and otis after giving so much blood? dumb.
as soon as otis volunteered to go w/ shane i knew he would end up dying/probably sacrificing himself. i have no idea how they are going to get out of there and like others have said, why didn't they think of an exit plan? at least save some flares?
A couple zombies run across the highway, 30 car pile up, everyone stops, zombies attack. Not to mention you throw in some reckless drivers. And when everyone was trying to get out of Houston for that hurricane after Katrina, they had cars stuck for 12+ hours. I guess I assumed some cars were moved and flipped later too.
There's been 30 car pile ups on both sides of the interstate here due to fog. It doesn't seem that crazy.
Oh and back to the show:). I love it but agree this last episode was a little slow. I also felt like they could have been more strategic in the high school. I also feel like they should be making a longer term survival plan. Like fortify the farm house and just go zombie killing as they wonder by.
i didn't stay up fo the Talking Dead show, but that makes sense. Thanks Major!
I figured that they either killed themselves or not thinking and in a panic, would have rolled up the windows and died from the heat. Something of that nature.
