The X Factor 10/25 *spoilers*
I'm pretty happy with the results other than Philip getting cut. Even though I didn't think he'd win, I liked him and he got screwed because L.A.'s song choice for him was terrible. He would've been better off with a Michael Buble, Frank Sinatra, or slower song.
Melanie and Josh (burrito guy) are still my favorites with their amazing voices. I also really like Drew and LeRoy.
I LOL'ed when Simone got sent home and she managed to fit in a little, "Check out my video tonight!"

Drew litterally made my jaw drop. Stunning. She sounds a tiny bit like Zooey Deschanel to me. Can NOT believe she is only 14. I think tonight she sang better than Melanie.
I NEED to hear Leroy Bell sing a Michale Bolton song. I absolutely love his voice. I want to buy a Christmas album by him. For 60 years old he's pretty dreamy.
As much as I wanted to not like inTENsity their performance was just fun to watch. But the blond girl that sang in the beginning was a hot mess.

So bummed about the song choice for Phillip ;-( No wonder he went home. I really liked his voice.
I was super surprised the Brewer Boys made it this far. Won't miss them.

Simone - Wow is she gorgeous, but a forgettable performance.
Stereo Hogzz won't win the whole thing but they sound pretty good and sure are fun to look at.
Josh aka Burrito Slinger - I just didn't like the song choice but he is amazing no question about it. Love me some Joe Cocker, who he is obviously channeling and that's OK with me.
Melanie was very, very good but you could hear in her voice how emotional it was for her. Once she gets more comfortable I think she will either win it or get 2nd to Drew.
Chris Rene (the recovering addict) I look forward to seeing what he does next week because he's very diverse.
Stacy Francis - I feel like I'm watching Diana Ross.
Marcus has the MOVES. I think LA Reid said he reminded him of Bobby Brown. Totally saw that tonight.
Lakoda Rayne was actually better than I thought they would be. I really liked their version of Com'on Eileen. They could get signed to a country label tomorrow and become instant stars in that genre, but I dont think they'll win this competition.

ALL I needed last night was for Dexter to go! Hilarious that he was "confused" by the results and in a twilight zone... that's how I've felt about him for weeks. Thank goodness!
I loved Astro. In some ways, I think that being a rapper will eventually count against him but its great that he was able to include his own lines last night while no one else could.
I still loved Melanie but was disappointed by her song choice. We already know she can sing Whitney so it didn't wow me.
If anyone is curious (and I know you are!) here is Simone's music video. She never sounded great to me on X Factor and I didn't want her to have a final spot but she's beautiful! So I don't mind watching her for 3 or4 minutes.
Let me know if she comes across as sort of a black Katy Perry to you in this song...

I would love to hear Melanie sing Adele.
She has such an amazing voice. And you can see how great she is, she doesnt need any special effects or backup dancers - her voice alone is fantastic.
I'm not a fan of him or Chris Rene and don't get the hype, but I don't think they'll get too far anyway.
I didn't like Simone and thought she had an arrogant attitude. However, I thought what L.A. said in front of her ("I don't know why she's here..." and so on) was pretty rude.
Then she got eliminated and blurted out she has a video which I thought was a little cocky and tacky, so I didn't feel as bad. lol
i think I agreed with the eliminations last night, although I maybe would have kept the Brewer Boys over Intensity - not totally sure.
I agreed with Simon & Nicole's choices for sure.
So how does it work from here on out? Anyone can get eliminated? Ie - all the groups could theoretically be eliminated first?
I hope so. Because all the girls are better than all the over-30s (IMO) and at least 2 of the groups.
I think next week will be America voting, wont it?

I actually can't stand Drew. I don't think she's all that singing-wise and I hate to say this but at the risk of sounding crass, I can't stand to look at her. When she smiles her mouth looks like Mammoth Cave. :-/
I think Astro is adorable and the kid can rap. Rachel is a doll. I'm glad they picked Marcus over Phillip and I am really bummed out that the 2 brothers dind't make it. Honestly I don't like that "Intensity" band at all. That's WAY too many people - I can't watch them. Too confusing with all those members.
I think Melanie Amaro is going to win the whole show.

I think she is amazing for 14. You cannot fault somone for their apperance, it's pretty shallow. Especially since it's her parents job to get her braces and if they cannot afford it then she doesn't get them. I think she has a great chance of winning!
I'm not disagreeing with you at all. Normally I don't make judgements by appearance, especially with kids - but I just think her mouth is huge when she smiles. Sometimes I just let stupid stuff bug me. :-/
But, in the spirit of the real competition though, I think Rachel is a better singer than she is. And I think Melanie is the best of all the girls hands down. JMO.
