Realtor to find a rental?
Hey Ladies! I popped over a few weeks ago because I thought we might be relocating. Well, I got the job! So, now it is frantic find a house and find a nanny. Do people use realtors/brokers to find rentals in your area? It would be really helpful to have someone on the ground up there to get places lined up before I arrived. I plan on coming in a couple weeks to look for places. Any suggestions where I'd look?
H and I are actually leaning towards Attleboro, MA. I'd be working in Warwick and he's going to be working in Boston.
TIA!

Re: Realtor to find a rental?
Most people I know don't use realtors to find rentals. I agree about Craigslist (Providence, Worcester, South Coast, maybe even Western MA - you can see these in the "nearby CL" list from providence.craigslist.org) and the Providence Journal.
I was going to suggest http://www.riliving.com/ but it doesn't look like it has any properties listed in Attleboro, so that's not really helpful.
Anyway, congrats on the job! Sorry I'm totally unhelpful on the housing front. Let us know if you have other questions!
Congrats! You might also want to consider areas like East Providence, Barrington, and Seekonk. They're reasonably in between Warwick and Boston.
I have a friend who does real estate, and rentals, more specifically. Her name is Michele Brown, and her cell is 401-829-1797. She's super nice and helpful. I can completely understand why you'd want someone local to go check out the places for you. I'd probably feel the same way! She'll also be able to give you more ideas on areas to look in.
good luck!
