Seaworld

Where should we stay? Closer to seaworld or the riverwalk? Any place we should see or do?

Thanks!

Re: Seaworld

  • When we went last year we stayed on the Riverwalk, since SeaWorld was only one day of our trip and we were spending 2 other days in the Riverwalk area/downtown. DS was 3 on that trip and we did the Riverboat tour, took him to see the outside of the Alamo, and walked along the Riverwalk a time or two. We also went into the lobbies of the wax museum and Ripley's Believe It or Not to show him a few big things on display right in the front. We didn't think it was worth actually going in given his age.
  • We stayed close to the River walk at the Crown Plaza.  It is only about 15-20 mins away from Sea World and a 5 min walk to the Riverwalk and there are a lot more options for restaurants and things to do.  My fave hotel is La Manison right on the riverwalk.

  • We got a great deal at the Drury on the Riverwalk when we went.  it was in a pretty decent location but not right in the hustle and bustle so quieter than when we've stayed at the more popular places.

this is where we stayed as well. They have a free buffet and drinks around cocktail hour. At least they did when we were there the end of April. We're talking hot dogs, chili, salad, nachos.etc not healthy, but certainly saves you money on dinner. I think it included 3 or 4 alcoholic drinks, too!

    Yeah, here's the link
