Remember a couple weeks ago when I said there was a rumor that our ridiculous governor might change our vacation/sick leave which was then going to impact my maternity leave? Well, his compensation plan was just realeased- no mention of vacation or sick leave so I think I'm ok.
However, he did say that there would again be no raises for the next 2 years. I figured this was coming. I just started here in March 2010, so it will be 2 years next march. Sucks that I won't see a raise (unless I switch positions and it comes with a pay increase), but i feel bad for those who have been here longer. There haven't been any raises since 2008. I know private sector jobs are tight right now as well, but going with no raise (not even cost of living increase or anything) from 2008-2013 is tough!
Re: Update on maternity leave
Yay for good maternity leave news.
The raise thing sucks. I have been at my job since 11/07, we only just got raises, like in my last pay check. We did however loss 2% and get it back a year or 2 later. SO I know how you feel.

Well at least you can rest easy knowing that Wall Street and Congress will get those raises you're not getting!
No raise blows, but thank goodness it's not affecting your maternity leave, too.
