s/o garlic press

Re: s/o garlic press

  • do you cut up your garlic???? or do you just buy minced garlic?  Almost any recipe that i use that asks for garlic. i just put it in my garlic press b/c i dont want to slice my finger off trying to slice garlic.  I just take a piece of garlic- you dont even have to peel it, stick it in the press and squeeze!

    Mine looks like this.

sometimes all you really need in life is a pink wig.
  • Well Chris... if I was looking to make my life easier and I was using jarred garlic I wouldn't have posted this Stick out tongue

I cut that shiit up into minced pieces..

I just looked at it... apparently mine has a section for pressing and a section for slicing.  Similar to this one:

  • My garlic press is called Nick.  He's the Italian and the one who likes garlic.  By default he gets to mince the garlic :)

  • I have a tiny garlic processor.  Its electric and I hold it down and it chops it in seconds and then goes into my dishwasher.  I also have a small green one that you twist by hand.  Even with those 9/10 times I chop it myself, and we use garlic almost daily.

  • I buy the already minced garlic in the jar from the produce section. I'm a bad and lazy Italian.

  • fresh minced garlic is so much more flavorful and awesome than the jarred stuff. takes two seconds to use and it's fast to clean to! i use it a few times a week!

at least no one would know with your last name.... mine on the other hand people keep asking me for a good gravy recipe.   Now if you'd like a good fish and chip I could tell ya ;-) (no not really I'd actually have a better gravy recipe)

  • My garlic press and I are good friends.  Especially since nearly everything I make for dinner (and lunch) requires garlic.  Other than my KA mixer, I think it was one of my most favorite gifts.
