Storage questions
This may be a silly question, but keep in mind we do not have an entry way closet or anything in our little duplex. Hell, we don't even have an entry way.
We have coats and shoes and now scarves/hats/gloves that end up all over our bar and on the end of our L shaped couch and on our diner table. All of our winter things are hung up in our extra bedroom closet at the very back of the house, and it really isn't convenient to go to that closet every time we need a sweat shirt or coat. We'll be investing in a coat rack tomorrow at some point, but anyone have any creative ideas for storing shoes and accessories? All I can come up with is a big tub for shoes and a little one for other things. Anyone have any better ideas or suggestions?

I want a shoe cabinet. I have a baby eating but will pip when I have two hands. I think there is one on my amazon wish list.

Ikea has this shoe cabinet that might work.

I came across another idea for you.
Take some paint cans and clean them up (or pretty them up)
Then you can hang the can on the coat rack to toss gloves, scarves, etc in like above.
