Hey ladies - We had chicken wings on Saturday night for dinner. I forgot to freeze the leftovers like usual. Do you think it is safe to eat them tonight (Wed)? Or is it too risky? WWYD?
They smell fine but, then again, they smell like garlic parmesan! LOL
Re: food safety question
First, this is my go to for all food safety questions:

Second, it says 3-4 days, so today would be the last day they're safe to eat.

I'd probably go for it.
Stand up for something you believe in.

Me too. Heat them up and they should be fine.

I'll preface this by saying I'm ServSafe certified and there are no actual guidelines (in terms of time) about eating leftovers. That said, I think up to 5 days for chicken wings would be fine, as long as they have been stored below 41 degrees in the fridge, and you heat them thoroughly before eating. Ground meats, such as ground turkey, beef and burgers, should be eaten within 3 days since they're more susceptible to contamination than whole cuts of meat.
