Let's Go Rangers! Or...let's just talk about them here.

Since there are a lot of girls who care and some who couldn't care less, let's make a new thread about the Rangers for Rangers chat.

The Rangers are going into a meeting with the Cardinals and the MLB officials at 1pm central to decide about tonight's game. -- Although I am in the minority, I selfishly hope we do get a rain out tonight since I have school. My neighbor is having a big get together and I would much rather be there than school. The party/game moved to tomorrow suits me just fine!

Did you guys see the article about La Russa saying the crowd being too loud during game 5 is what caused the bullpen mistake at the end of the game. Supposedly this mistake is why they lost.

Also, what did you think of the tweet made by Devon La Russa (daughter of Cardinal's manager?) It said, ?I saw a crack head doing ?The Wash? today. Coincidence? I think not.?

Re: Let's Go Rangers! Or...let's just talk about them here.

  • Ugh. Sour grapes aren't classy.

As for the bullpen "mistake", it looked pretty clear to me that LaRussa was just trying to buy time for his "ideal" pitcher to warm up more. I'd have been ticked if I was Lynn... send out there just to buy time. I just can't stand whiny losers. You lost because we played better than you, the same reason WE lost the night before when you played better than us.

I would love for the game to happen tonight, but historically, the Rangers play like CRAP the day after travel. It's pretty trackable over the last 2 years. So if having tonight off gives the boys a chance to settle in and kick butt tomorrow night, I'll take it.

  • I just got out of a meeting--have they decided yet?

I read an article yesterday that chronicled all of TLR's mistakes during the last game--it was pretty hilarious.  And also pretty clear that he would accept none of the blame.

I just want us to win so bad--I don't care when it happens!

  • I want to have the game tonight, because I want this over with!  I'm so anxious and excited about this, I don't think my nerves can take another day!

Stephie, do you have a link to that article?  I want to read that! I do think it is interesting that they are saying all of the pitching confusion was due to the noise of the crowd.  I find that a little hard to believe.

No word yet on the game being postponed.  MLB stills says 7:05 tonight.  Eek!

  • Although it drags it out, this is actually really good for the Rangers. They don't do well in the cold/rainy or fresh off travel days, so this is good news.

  • I am so disappointed that it's canceled for tonight.  We got tickets for a concert tomorrow night and I don't want Bill to get mad if we don't go (I am the one who pushed for us to go and I think they were about $120 for the two).  Ugh.

You can always DVR the game, ignore the radio on your way home, and make sure you don't drive by any Academy's (they are going to open the stores back up after the game when the Rangers win the series).  :)  This would be very difficult for me to do though.

I'm so freakin EXCITED for tonight!!!!   GO RANGERS!!!
