What to wear?

I am scrambling.

We have a family beach photo session this SUNDAY. I thought it would be in another 3 weeks but the photog wants to break the photo sessions up to avoid exhausting DS (his 1 year photos, cake smash, family beach photos).

SO. I had thought I'd put us in jeans and white shirts. She doesn't like this idea and emphasized how important clothing choices are.

Now I am scrambling! What if DH is in a navy sweater, DS in a grey sweater and me in...something. Nothing fits me. I need to go shopping.

Or DH in a white button up, DS in a blue button up and me in...something.

I would rather have DS in something a little more fitted so he's not swimming in his clothing.

Re: What to wear?

  • I think the jeans and white t-shirt photos are cute. Hmm. If your photog thinks clothing choice is SO important, why isn't she giving you more direction? Haha

I would guess solid colors would work best. Maybe you could all wear different styles of the same color? Baby in a polo, H in a button down, you in a sweater?

  • I know, I was like, 'I need more details. Be specific!" lol
  • Yeah, it's weird that she told you how important it is then didn't give you more direction.  Maybe ask her to send you examples of her favorite family photos.  I think as long as you are dressed in something that makes you feel good you will be fine.

My thoughts exactly, both in regards to the t-shirt/jeans and more direction.

What have people been wearing in beach photos you like?

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

I say go with the jeans and white shirts then!  And, yeah, all white doesn't sound so appealing to me, either.

  • I like the sweaters, and you could wear maybe a burgundy sweater.

  • Okay I have it figured out, I think.

DS in a white sweater that has his name monogrammed on it in blue (it's too cute and it's 24m size and I am shocked it fits him so well).

DH in a shade of blue. Me in a different shade of blue. I just have to go buy something because I own nothing in blue.

    That sounds really nice!
