any wifey runners?
I just started running and did my first 5k over the weekend. I would really love a partner or partners to run with for extra motivation? Any wifeys on here that run? I am a beginner runner and SLOW.. So I want to work on my pace and having someone else to work with would be awesome! Anyone interested in meeting up to run, or know any good running groups in the area?

I am a coach for a 1/2 marathon program that raises funds for the Crohn's and Colitis foundation while at the same time helping people of all abilities cross the finish line and accomplish their goal. The program is Team Challenge and we will be recruiting people for our VA Wine Country 1/2 marathon in January as we are 6 weeks out currently from participants doing the Vegas Rock and Roll 1/2. Anyway PM me if you want more info, most of the participants have only done or not even done a 5K before they start the program.
Now that I have plugged my program, I also wanted to let you know that just about every running store in the area has "Fun Run" nights, so check out Pacers or Potomac River Running store near you and that is a free way to meet up with other runners. Also there are running groups like Road Runners, etc that meet weekly.
I know there is a running group in Montgomery County called Montgomery County Road Runners (MCRR). They organize a lot of races. It looks like you're in PG county though, so I don't know if that's convenient for you.

at least that is what I think, I was a little confused too.
I thought it was a wife that runs with her husband while he trains. I guess not. Sounds good though.
