XP: What would you buy with a $100 Amazon gc?
My team just won a walking contest at work (logged the most miles over a
month) and we each get $100 Amazon gift card--woohoo!
What would you
spend it on?
ETA: Oh yeah, and it's my birthday today so you'd think I'd already know what I want but I have no clue!
I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

Re: XP: What would you buy with a $100 Amazon gc?
Something you have always wanted, but would never let yourself spend actual $$ on. The great thing about Amazon is there is almost everything you can think of on there.
Right now.....I would buy myself a pair of tall boots, since I have finally decided I like skinny jeans
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! If google chrome let me do emoticons, I would do the party hat, birthday cake and cocktail!
It's hard to spend money when you have a gift card. I don't know why. I have $100 to Macy's and $100 to Crate and Barrel that I have been sitting on for a year.
Aww, thanks! I'll take everything but the cocktail as I had enough tequila while in Brazil to last me a good long time thankyouverymuch!
I have a tendency to sit on gift cards as well. I have a ton I've been hanging on to for way too long.
Happy birthday, Rock!
And I am also terrible with gift cards - I'll spend willy nilly on dumb things, but when I have a gift card, I feel like it has to be worthwhile.
Are there tv series you want dvds for? Oooh, you could get one of those Kindle Fires. Unless you have an iPad already, of course.
Happy birthday.
I could blow through $100 at amazon in a minute!
What about a kindle?
After this last trip I've reconsidered the usefulness of an iPad and might be interested in getting one...then I looked at the price. $500+ for an iPad2?!
And thanks for the birthday wishes!
I am considering buying "DS" an Ipad for Christmas, but I heard that Apple is coming out with the Ipad 3 in the spring so I may wait.
I told DH "I don't want him to be behind all of his peers in pre-school because he doesn't have an Ipad!" because my friends' 2 year olds are all so good with them.
So I'd wait on the Ipad. And yes, I'd totally buy one.
I don't know about the Kindle Fire. I have a regular Kindle and like it a lot. I play word scramble on it when I'm pumping. Does that help? LOL
If you replace "pumping" with "working out on the elliptical," maybe
So you can do more than just read on the Kindle?
Happy belated birthday!
I am awful with gift cards too. I have a pile of them sitting around waiting for the right thing to buy. If forced to spend $100 at Amazon right now or lose it, I would probably buy some cookbooks, workout DVDs, and/or a purse.
Happy belated birthday! I hope that you had a great one.
$100 to Amazon is awesome. I buy all kinds of random stuff on there, so I would probably do some books, some dog stuff, maybe some boots. I just got a new pair of Sorel Joan of Artic in prep for MA winters and I am in love. If you need new snow boots, I would recommend them and they are on Amazon.
yes. Most of the games I have on there (like scrabble and word scramble) are free. DH subscribes to the New York Times and the Globe so they download automatically every morning.
The nanny is borrowing it now for a book (Mara Dyer) but I'll get it back Monday and can look at it again and see what else I can do on it.
Not on the regular Kindle, no, but the Fire is the Amazon version of an iPad. You can read, watch tv, and get on the interwebs.
Ooo, really? I need to research this more. $199 is way better than $500!
I play word games on the Kindle.
I totally missed the Birthday mention....
Happy Birthday Rock....hope it was great!!!!!
I'm still figuring mine out, so that is good to know! I just figured out how to get the library books on there, so I'm not exactly technically proficient. Maybe in another month, I'll figure out how to play games.
It was great, thank you!
