Anyone know anything about HCG levels?
Last Friday I had a blood draw and my beta number was 191. I had another blood draw yesterday and my number was over 1,900. While that was a little over 48 hours, that's kinda a big jump right? Like, ideally they want to see the number double in 48 hours, not increase 10x's.
Shiit, I don't even know if I am pregnant with one viable baby let alone to be worrying about multiples. Anyone have some beta numbers they want to share?

Re: Anyone know anything about HCG levels?
I wish I had numbers to share with you but I never had blood drawn
Try not to stress. High numbers are not always indicative of a multiples pregnancy. It could just be a STRONG singleton pregnancy
You know what, at this point I would gladly take twins! Ha. Well, it's not ideal but I just want this baby(ies) to stick. I would LOVE to hear that everything is a-ok and stop stressing that I am miscarrying. Yep, I am still spotting :

My numbers are in my signature. My RE reminded me over an over again that you really can't compare your numbers to anyone else, because they vary so much between woman. Also, a rapid number jump doesn't necessarily mean that there's multiples inside - there may be - but mostly it's just an indicator that the baby is growing.

Thanks everyone! You know, I was so excited to hear the number had rose that it never occurred to me when I was on the phone with the nurse to ask about the big jump. Oh well, I'll find out more at my next appointment on 10/4 when I am back in Texas. I am a little nervous because I have an US scheduled for that morning. Fingers crossed all is ok.
Oh and one more quick question......you two are on progesterone right? I just went to get my prescription filled and for one month the bill is $1.200. What? And I need to get it filled twice.
Ummmm, no can afford $2,400.
Was your progesterone covered by your insurance carrier? If not how much was your out of pocket expense? The pharmacist told me that I need the doctor to pre-authorize the prescription but chances are my insurance won't cover it. Seriously, I can't afford $2,400!

First, congrats!!!
Second, HCG - Mine were 563.51 12dp5dt or 17dpo, 2200 15dp5dt or 20dpo and finally 7461 19dp5dt or 24dpo. Hope that helps, also this site is good to look at:
http://www.betabase.info/
It absolutely shows you the huge variation in numbers from woman to woman.
Third, progesterone. I was shocked to find out that my insurance covered it, but it did and it was $55/month as it was considered a Tier 3 drug. I got mine from freedom pharmacy and they just took my insurance info and submitted it for me.
Hope this helps!
Kathy, I'm so so happy for you that your numbers went up!! That's great news
I hope your little ones continues to grow healthy.
I was on progesterone suppositories for a short time and my insurance covered almost all of it. I paid $28 for a month supply. I would be making some phone calls because $1200 is outrageous!!
I've been on progesterone injections, and it cost $43 for a 20 day supply with insurance. I'm switching over to suppositories, that should be delivered this afternoon, because my injection site has become a welted, bruised mess. I don't know how much my copay is yet.
I too went through Freedom fertility for all of my medications, and they've been great. If you call them, there's an option to talk to someone about costs.
By the way - what brand of progesterone are you going on? I'm going on endometrium.

Thanks for the info everyone!
Heather - the medication is Crinone 8%. I checked out that website and it's much cheaper there than at Walgreens. Although it's still $208 for a one week supply
I called a compounding pharmacy here in Orlando and they said if my doctor approves it, they can make a comparable product that will cost me $20 a week. I have a call out to my doctor now to get that done. Oh thank goodness, $2,400 was waaaayyyy to much money.
But on a funny note my doctors office thinks I am nuts. I have been there 4 times in the last week and I think I have called everyday for the last 7 days. Haha, I don't even have to say my name on the phone and there all like "Hi Kathy, how are you TODAY". It's embarrassing how often I call them.

Do you have prescription coverage? When I called they took my prescription coverage and my medical insurance coverage. My injections, out of pocket, would have been $2700 (according to published prices I found online) and I paid $120. If you have either prescription or medical insurance it might be worth it to call and ask them to see if insurance will cover anything. I've found this pharmacy has gone above and beyond trying to figure out how to get as much covered as possible. So it might be worth it to give them a call.

I was obsessed with my HCG levels at first, and after a lot of research I found out that everyone's really are different. Mine seemed to go up quickly at times, which I heard meant multiples, but then I found a board where people with twins had all posted their HCG levels and some took days to double, while some doubled in 1/2 day. High levels can mean something is wrong, low levels can mean something is wrong, normal levels can mean something id wrong....you just have to wait it out
Mine were:
12 dpo 4
13 dpo 12
15 dpo 58
18 dpo 315
21 dpo 1,547
25 dpo 7,211
I am really glad that your levels went up! And, if there is more than one baby in there, then you are all the more blessed! Especially if they look like Macy!
Sounds like twins to me!!
Haha, jk!
But I did go on betabase and their numbers indicated triplets.Yikes! I wish I remembered my numbers but I don't. Good luck, though. It sounds good!!!
I am so happy that your numbers keep rising Kathy! Who knows, maybe you prayed for this baby so hard that you will get blessed with two
