Do you realize that we are all married for a year and a half this month??? I can't believe it was that long ago! Let's be sappy for a minute about our marriages and hubbies, shall we?
- What is your favorite thing about your husband?
- What is your favorite thing about being married?
- What is the biggest lesson you have learned since being married?
Re: A sappy post...
- What is your favorite thing about your husband?
He truly makes me happy even after a long day, nothing can make me feel better than being with him and having a good laugh. We definitely have the same silly sense of humor, and he loves making me laugh!
- What is your favorite thing about being married?
Little things like having breakfast together in the mornings, even on most workdays, we try to spend 5 minutes together while rushing around to have coffee before we leave. It's a nice way to start our day, considering I am NOT a morning person. It helps me to leave for work in a good mood!
- What is the biggest lesson you have learned since being married?
I know it's cliche, but "don't sweat the small stuff". It's not worth arguing or getting upset over things that don't really matter, and most of it doesn't matter. Also, I've learned that we can have separate interests, we don't have to enjoy ALL of the same things. There are things we enjoy doing together and there are things we are better off doing separately...
- What is your favorite thing about your husband? The way he rubs my head, neck and shoulders when I have a headache, the way he hugs me after a bad day and everything seems to melt away, the way everything in life seems so much better the minute we're in the same room together.
- What is your favorite thing about being married? Being home with my best friend every day and every night.
- What is the biggest lesson you have learned since being married? that family time is a million times better than any night out at the bar, times ten!! It took me 35 years of being single to figure that out!
- What is your favorite thing about your husband? He makes me laugh, expands my horizons in how I perceive things and holds me so tightly when he hugs me. He values my contribution to the household and family (grocery shopping, cooking, laundry, cleaning) and him helping pick up the slack wherever I ask (and doing the dishes every night :-) )
- What is your favorite thing about being married? Spending every day together, working as a team to accomplish things
- What is the biggest lesson you have learned since being married? I agree w/Allison, don't sweat the small stuff is a big part. Learning to identify what is small has been a challenge but it's getting easier.

I kind of agree with everything you all said, and I probably could have written Allison's answers myself, but....
- What is your favorite thing about your husband? He's just my best pal. We share the same interests and truly enjoy spending time together - I'm not against "guys nights" at all, but he just doesn't seem to want them and would rather hang together. And he gets up with the dog every morning - that's awesome.
- What is your favorite thing about being married? The comfort of knowing that he'll always be there (and I for him). I'm a little anxiety-prone so when dating (anyone) I always had like this nagging fear that they would just like STOP calling one day. It's irrational, but that's how I was! I love the fact that our lives and families are intertwined.
- What is the biggest lesson you have learned since being married? Don't sweat the small stuff is a good one! I've also ironically learned to be more independent and enjoy spending time alone.
- What is your favorite thing about your husband? His ability to make me laugh even when I am in the most foul mood or super mad at him about something. He does something goofy to make me smile and I instantly forget why I'm cranky or mad at him.
- What is your favorite thing about being married? Being able to say "my husband" when I'm talking about him to someone. It still sounds so wierd to me.
- What is the biggest lesson you have learned since being married? Cooperation and letting the little things go....it's not worth it to get ticked off over every little thing...I've learned his quirks and learned to live with them instead of getting mad at them.

April Nesties March siggy challenge: Next Vacation, Anguilla!!
Love this!! From a fellow "sap"!!
What is your favorite thing about your husband?
His humor, his dancing blue eyes, the way he loves me, his caring and gentle way with me and our doggies...His patience, his loyalty and how he loves me for me, with no conditions. He truly is the one person in the world who knows me better than anyone - with no reservations. And he still chooses to be married to me!
- What is your favorite thing about being married?
Knowing that we are committed. All the lip service in the world given to "not needing that piece of paper" doesn't change the fact that standing up in front of God and the world and dedicating the rest of my life to this man really did mean something amazing. It takes courage to make that committment, and I love that we did. I also love being with him, and having our family...this contented feeling is so hard to put into words, but I know you girls know what I mean ;-)
- What is the biggest lesson you have learned since being married?
That marriage requires sacrifice. Mostly because we lived together for 5 years before getting married, and dated 5 years before that...we already knew all we needed to know about each other - but marriage has made me appreciate our bond all that much more!
