I'm going to a friend's wedding on December 17th. To make it nice and tricky...the wedding is at noon, but the reception isn't until 5:00pm. The only dresses I currently have that fit are both black.
So first...would you wear black to a wedding that starts at noon? Second...should I wear something that's more casual (because of the wedding start time) or more dressy (because of the evening reception)?
I wouldn't mind buying something for this wedding, but most of the dresses I'm finding online that I like are either black or ivory. For example...I really like this dress, but do you agree that I shouldn't wear it to a wedding, since it's too close to the color the bride will be wearing?
Want to help me find something? I definitely want to spend less than $100 (preferrably much less than that!). I don't mind ordering online, but being able to try it on first would be a plus.

Re: Want to help me find a dress?
i thought little black dress fit every occasion?!? haha. i'd wear the black dress and play it up with fun jewelry and colorful shoes!
Nordstrom and Macys have a "wedding guest" section. I would never wear white, or anything lightly colored. And, like Steph I think a little black dress is fine!
