I posted this over on H&F but thought maybe some of you guys might like to hear about it too:
So yeah, that was almost 2 weeks ago but with being on vacation and a busy time at work right when I got back this post was a bit delayed. I have a recap on my blog (with lots of pics!):

And if you want the short version here it is- beautiful course though very hilly. Great volunteer support, great spectator support. The stars aligned for me and gave me perfect race day conditions. I trained very hard and managed to pull off a 33 min PR and hit my time goal. Chip time was 4:30:43, goal was 4:30 so I'll call that good. I never felt like I hit the wall and although I almost fell completely apart around mile 17, I managed to pull myself together and power through. I highly recommend this race (they have a half too) but definitely train for hills!
Re: AW: 33min PR @ Empire State Marathon
That's awesome! You should totally be proud of yourself, that is a very respectable time! What an amazing accomplishment running one marathon, let alone doing it a second time (this is your second right?)!
So happy for you!
