I've said that the director that H kinda sorta works 'under' isn't very professional. I have further proof.
Last night was their Halloween concert. H didn't go because he had a graduate class to attend. Of course, the kids were all dressed up, and this guy dresses up as well. Except he doesn't wear something normal, like a clown costume, or a firefighter, or whatever. He dresses up like..... are you ready for it? Probably not, but here goes:
a suicide cutter.
He dressed up like a suicide cutter. There are fake cuts and blood all over his body, namely one on his wrist. There is a picture of him on FB holding a very large (fake, I hope, but you never know) kitchen knife to that cut.
A) This is nothing that should be taken lightly and used as a flucking Halloween costume.
What would possess ANYONE to wear this to a HIGH SCHOOL BAND CONCERT as the DIRECTOR, and then proceed to put PICTURES of it all over FACEBOOK?
I'm at a complete loss for words. I didn't think the dude could get any worse, but he just took a giant leap into inappropriate. We all wish he would get fired.

Seriously? WTF!?
There is nothing funny OR appropriate about that costume choice. With everything else you've said about this guy it sounds like he's just asking to be fired.

This was awesome! The band director sounds like a complete douche (but we already knew that). I hope someone complains to the "higher ups" and he gets punished.
The Maggie picture is PERFECT.
Is he friends with any students on FB? If so, I'd screenshot his page and email it to the principal. That's redic. He shouldn't be teaching HS kids (but we all already knew that).

Woah...
I think it's time he gets a new job. Like an elephant dung picker-upper at the zoo.
This! Completely inappropriate and needs to be reported since he obviously doesn't get how to be professional, especially around HS students.
This, or sidestep the principal and just send it straight to the superintendent or ESD. These are grounds for disciplinary action, possibly even termination.
I've been thinking about it all day and it's just made me sick to my stomach. I think you're right about reporting it. I'm hoping that other people have already, but I will do that when I get home tonight. Both the principal and the superintendent.
The school is required to do all kinds of suicide prevention awareness with the students at the high school, which makes it worse. It's also bad because there were pictures of him with some of these kids' parents, all smiles and giggles like there's nothing wrong with it at all.
Thank you for your support ladies. I hope something is done about this.
Oh man this may me die laughing to see this pop up!
Yup, I totally agree with this! Also - I think reporting him is a very smart move. If my kid went there I would not want them exposed to his antics.
This is what I really don't understand. People get fired for putting the smallest things on FB. Or having things from Facebook from years and years and years ago. But he can have a picture like that on there and no one says boo about anything? People aren't knocking at his door with pitchforks and torches? I live in the most backwards county.
