Ive been so busy at work that I havent had a chance to get one here very much in the last few weeks.  I didnt realize you went on your trip.  I knew it was scheduled for October, and can't believe its almost November.

How was it?!?  I saw some of your pictures below.  They look fabulous.  Im assuming you used your new camera lens?  Those classes you took look like they paid off.  Are you/did you post pictures on facebook?  Or a photo sharing site?  Id love to see more.

  • Hey Steph, the trip was great!  We really enjoyed our time there, and saw a TON of sites.  We especially liked Crete -- such a huge range of things to do from beaches, to towns, to ancient archaeological sites, to hiking gorges.....it was amazing.  We also had a killer concierge at our hotel there that seriously hooked us up with some local gems.  :o)  I took over 1700 photos Embarrassed, and other than saving them to the computer, haven't even had time to go through them all yet.  I actually uploaded those two pics to photobucket while on our trip, so they were already ready to go, haha. I do have to be honest and admit that part of the reason I took so many is because it often takes me 3 or 4 tries to get a decent shot.  I kept my camera on "manual" the whole time, so I had to be patient with myself, lol.  It will probably be more like 1000-1500 when I pare it down (which I recognize is still a LOT!).

The new lens was AWESOME, if for no other reason than I had a much larger zoom range, so one lens worked everywhere, I loved it!  I don't usually post a ton to FB (kinda creeps me out to be honest), and I don't know if I'll put them on a site.  I do plan to make a photo book from them.....we did one for our India trip a few years ago and it worked out really well.  Once it's done I'll try to remember to bring it to a GTG!  :o)  I'll definitely post a few more here once I go through them.....with our schedule right now though, it might be a little while.  :o(

  • Sounds like you had a great time!  Thats a lot of photos to sort through.  We had about 500 from our wedding, I cant imagine sorting through three times that many.  I'd love to see a photobook once you get it together!  Sounds like your trip was amazing!
