Is anyone following the lululemon murder trial? I just find the whole thing horrific yet I can't look away.
One thing that I read yesterday that surprised me was that an Apple store employee heard them arguing, including hearing one of them (obv the victim), scream, "Oh god, please help me!" and didn't call the police. Not saying it's the Apple employee's fault, but geez, did that sound like a normal occurence?
Re: lululemon murder trial
When I read that article, that part of it struck me too. I wonder if they have been suffering from guilt-I mean the attack sounds so awful who knows if she owuld have survived it and been able to function again, but still, the fact that you heard and didn't do anything would eat away at me.
I was also struck by the attack lasting 20-30 minutes. How awful and terrifying.
I also think if 1st degree murder includes premeditation, that they may not get a conviction on that-I tend to think she just lost her *** when she heard jayna reporting the theft.

It is so awful, but I can't help but read the coverage. I also wonder if the Apple employees feel guilty now. I would feel terrible. Plus, you think you would call for your own safety if nothing else.
This gives me chills.
I feel horrible for that Apple person. No it's not a normal occurence to hear that kind of thing but it's also not a normal occurence for a murder to be happening in the yoga clothing store next door. Sometimes you hear teens horse-playing and joking around on the street and yelling things like "help!" so I can see how they may not have thought to report it.
One thing that I learned in my Rape Agression Defense class is that people do not respond to "Help". They said that you should yell fire or try to bring attention to yourself using other words.
Maybe this is wrong, but shouldn't the Apple employee feel guilty? I've called the police for lesser things.
Yeah, they are saying that she did it but that she just "lost it" and killed the girl in a rage. I get that (kind of)--or at least, can see how that wouldn't be considered first-degree murder. But I see second-degree/heat of passion murder as snapping and shooting someone, or something more like a burst of violence. An attack that goes on for 20-30 minutes seems like it's past the point of just heat of passion into real aggression and violence and . . . yikes.

Yeah, I read that she had over 300 wounds on her body, including over 100 defensive wounds. I think it went way beyond "losing it."
Then the whole elaborate cover-up story. When she was interviewed by the police, one of the first things Brittney Norwood asked was, "Is my co-worker alright?" She also claimed that they were both raped and she went so far as to cut up her pants and tell the police all these false details of the assault.
