Ouch! My first craft-related injury
I was free motion quilting today and got distracted and the sewing machine needle hit my finger and went through my nail. Ouch!!!!!
I already have a doctors appointment tomorrow (because I also got rear-ended--it's been a GREAT day). I need to get my tDap shot anyway, so I'll be covered for tetanus. It is achy if I put pressure on it. :-( So I took a break from sewing the rest of the afternoon.

I hope tomorrow is much better for you.
I recently put the needle through my nail while I was working on Halloween costumes. It was so surreal, but boy did it hurt.
I was amazed at how quickly it healed, although it was a bit sensitive to pressure for a few days. I don't even remember which finger/thumb it was, and it wasn't that long ago....I hope yours heals as quickly.
Ouch! I've actually wondered if that is possible, but wasn't going to volunteer my finger!
I hope it all turns out ok!
Sorry to hear that you read-ended.
