Need new job vibes! (and mom update) (and a dad update too)
I applied on Monday for a new position in my company. It is a level up and the pay is about $10-$15k more a year. I need and want this job SO bad. So I am asking you all for some good vibes. After the crap year I had, I am hoping that I can get a little sunshine.
Speaking of my crap year. My mom had a dr's appt with her ortho doctor on Tuesday. They had originally said spring for a prosthetic fitting to allow for healing but they gave her the go ahead and an appointment to get fitted next Wednesday!!! Just 3 months after the accident! We are so excited! I just want to cry every time I think about how she can start to get her life back to some semplence of normal. All of your good vibes really paid off.
And now for my dad. He has oficially left my drunk of a step mother. Things came to a head about a month and a half ago and she was arrested again and he finally left. He has been living in a camper in a neighbors yard, which is crappy but he moves into his new apartment on Nov. 12th. He still gets to see my niece on the weekends and they have been civil for the most part. Hopefully things will start looking up for him soon! My neice is doing well as my step mother is court ordered to stay sober with random alcohol tests twice a week. My father is in the mindset to call DSS if things aren't going well for her.

And thank goodness things are heading in the right direction for your dad; that woman was a witch, and was a horrible, horrible situation. I'm so glad your niece has him to look out for her.
