S/O Halloween -- Traditions?
Do you have any Halloween traditions like the whole family carving a pumpkin together, baking pumpkin pie, etc? What did you do for Halloween growing up?
My mom is very religious (Christian) and hates Halloween with a passion. Our tradition when I was growing up was usually turning the lights out on our house so no one would knock on the door and watching movies. A few times I went out trick or treating when I was really little because my dad wanted to take us kids and a couple times I went out for Halloween as a teenager with friends, but it was definitely not a family holiday for us!
Re: S/O Halloween -- Traditions?
I grew up in a Christian family too, but we did Halloween. The only stipulation was nothing goulish was permited. So none of us dressed up as anything scarey. We carved pumpkins and roasted the seeds. And of course trick or treated until I was 13 when my mom said I was too old, which was a major bummer.
