Serger on HSN & Flex Pay!
Re: Serger on HSN & Flex Pay!
Be cautious- Singer Sergers seem to really get raked over the coals on reviews on Amazon.
To be fair, I've read a lot of reviews on entry level sergers over the years (I did not read through any on this particular model), and a great percentage of the really bad reviews that I came across are obviously due to user error/stupidity. Maybe Singers are just more likely to fall into the hands of people who shouldn't be using them due to the places they're sold? Or maybe they really suck. Probably worth reading some reviews anyway, though.
Okay, I read a few reviews on the 754 (previous model?) on Amazon and nothing stands out as super worrisome. It sounds like a typical entry level serger- be patient, take your time learning, and you should be fine. I do recommend you spend a few more bucks and pick up this book, though, if you haven't seen my previous recs on it! It's a very handy book to have around- I wish I'd had it when I got my serger! My manual was clearly written by Ikea's rejects.
Enjoy your new toy!!!
Ugh, you are evil
I want one so bad and with the flex pay it would make it doable but I just decided to join Weight Watchers this month... maybe that should be my incentive!
Hope you enjoy, let me know how you like it
