Re: Really?

  • I am not pleased.  The power had better stay on.
  • That's so lame. I understand I live in New England, but snow before Halloween is just wrong.

The part I hate the most is that the first half of the month was unseasonably warm and then the temperatures plummeted. I wish it was more gradual.

All of this. I should not be wearing my down coat and wool socks already!

I've been suffering through the cold because I'm too stubborn to dig out my winter coat and boots. I don't even like taking them out in November, but I don't think I'm going to win with that this year.

  • OMG, I can't imagine going without my coat and boots this week.  I have been cold even with them on.  I hold out on the heat as long as possible (because I'm cheap), but I wear my winter clothes as soon as I get cold.  I think I started wearing my hat in the mornings in September.

I'm still wearing a coat, just not my winter one. I have a thick windbreaker-esque jacket with a fabric liner so it makes for a great fall jacket. The last few days I was wearing rain boots since my winter ones aren't fully waterproof. Those things keep my feet warmer than I expected.

Actually the part of me that's usually the coldest (besides my face) are my legs. Jeans are not good heat insulators.

Confession: I wear running tights (i.e. spandex pants) under my jeans in the dead of winter to keep warm. And because our building is "green" it is usually cool enough inside at work that I just keep them on all day. But I am cozy. Smile

I totally wear my long underwear under my pants most of the winter.  Most of my work pants aren't lined and I get cold easily.

  • We got about 4" at home last night. This is crap and better not be a preview for how winter is going to be this year!

  • I bought a long jacket to combat the cold legs issue.  It goes just past my knees and blocks the wind beautifully.

Wow! That's a lot! We got maybe half an inch.

I'm excited to wear my uggs again. But I don't do wind, so that needs to be addressed.

I'll see what I can do, but please remember that beggars can't be choosers.
  • Just when I started thinking....hey maybe we can stay in MA long term and not move to NC, last night happens.  Walking to the concert in the SNOW had me telling DH, I'm moving back to Florida!
