TGIF!

Blah.  I'm feeling better today, but not 100%.  Thank goodness for Benadryl, I was able to get more sleep last night.

No real plans tonight.  Derek's working another side job tomorrow, but hopefully this one will only be Saturday and not both weekend days.  I'm going to the tackiest of bridal showers tomorrow, and may just still be "sick", I'm not sure yet.  It's an hour and a half away.

Sunday I hope to do some baking to bring into work for Halloween, and probably decorate the house too!

And, at some point this weekend we'll be "coming out" on FB, so that's sort of exciting.

What does everyone else have on the go for the weekend?

Re: TGIF!

  • Raynes - Hopefully you will be 100% soon!  I hated when I was sick and pregnant.

My evening was low key, we had our first snow of the season.  It was only a dusting, but it made for a slow commute since there was some black ice on the roads.

Tomorrow night we are heading down to NH for a Halloween party.  Weather looks great there, but they are calling for snow here along the coast of Maine (2-4 inches).  I hate driving in it ever since I hit a tree 5 years ago.  I am supposed to be the DD, so we will see.

I may stop at Babies R Us to break down and see if there are any costumes.  Everyone is making me feel guilty for not dressing the boys up, so I might just have to give.  I guess it would make for some cute pictures.

  •  hoRaynes- I agree with Katsblaze I hated being sick while pregnant. Hope you get to feeling better soon.

Katsblaze- I am coming to visit you lol I want snow so bad.

I honestly forgot that it was Friday. Tonight jordan is spending the night with my grandmother and they are going to make some homemade ice cream. Jordan told her he wanted some for when his tonsils come out. I am sure they will eat all of what they make tonight, but they say its for when he has his procedure. I think me and Preston are going to sneak off to walmart alone and then meet DH for some supper when he gets off.

Tomorrow Jordan has a soccer game and I am working the concession stand so we will be at the soccer fields for the morning. I really need to go see my other grandmother after soccer so we might head that way. Dh will be working so me and the kids can go spend the afternoon at her house.

Sunday DH is working nights so I plan to be lazy around the house and watch some football with him. We are going to a fall fest on sunday afternoon/night with some friends so I am looking foward to that.

I went to hobby lobby Wednesday when I took Jordan to the doctor and I would love to maybe work on some projects this weekend if i have time.

  • Good morning. Finally the weekend, so very happy. Not much going on--tonight we'll go to the gym, try to go again on Sunday. Get some errands done, definitely some writing as I need to write a review for the book review website. Trouble is, I'm not sure what to say. Tongue Tied It'll come to me, though.

On Sunday afternoon we've been invited to a book launch party--the president of our website has just released his newest biography (on Aaron Burr) and he's hosting the party at his house. It's so cool to be involved in this--we're really starting to get attention. I even got to work with Eleanor Brown (author of The Weird Sisters) not too long ago on a book review she did for us. It's very inspiring to work with published authors--I think a writing class to jump-start my fiction (at the Writer's Center in Bethesda) is in my future. :)

Off to work--hopefully I can make some headway on the things on my plate at work. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

  • I  love me some Friday!  Hopefully, I will not be having major email trauma today, so I can get some good work done.

Saturday morning, we are going to a wedding.  Sunday we are going to drive out to Skyline and see some leaves and hopefully visit a winery.  We also need to do all the regular errand and I want to carve pumpkins some time.

  • Last night was great. The surprise engagement party was awesome. He proposed just minutes before they showed up, so I think she was still in a bit of shock. And then she walked in to the bar to see all of her friends in there waiting for her. He had even flown her sister in from Texas. It was such a great thing to be a part of. Then I went to the charity dinner. It was a lot of fun as well. I ended up staying up entirely too late between the events and the baseball game that was still going on when I got home.

Tonight I hope to get to bed early, but with another baseball game tonight, I'm not sure just how early that will be. We have the last farmer's market of the season (for us anyway) tomorrow morning. As much as I enjoy going to the markets I'm really excited to have my Saturday mornings back in another week. Even better, since Kyle accepted the new job, he will have weekends off for the first time ever since we started dating 10 years ago. After the market I have my Dad's birthday party. Then I think we're having some friends over in the evening.

Sunday we have no plans and I couldn't be happier about it. I'm absolutely exhausted and with all of the plans on Saturday I can't wait to relax on Sunday. I'll have the usual housework and laundry, but if I can sneak a nap in the day somewhere, I will be one happy girl.

    Have a great weekend everyone!

  • Abarber- That is great about kyle. Having weekends together will be awesome.

Yesterday was great. I came home and realized that Dh went to the park so quickly tossed on some running gear and ran to the park. I got a mile in when I realized that my yogurt lunch and breakfast did give me any energy blah. I did make it though. :)

Tonight is open. I'm not sure if we are doing anything

Saturday is exciting. Dh's Dad called and wants to take him and my BIL out somewhere. He won't say what just blocked off some time. I have a guess what it is but he's keeping everything a secret. Later that night we are going to see Fitz and the Tantrums! I can't wait. I love them. I think I may go find a cute slinky dress to wear. I also hope to empty out my closet. I have way to many ill fitting clothes right now and things I just will never wear again. Why am I keeping them.

Sunday-Free to do whatever. I hope to get a great run in.

  • Nesting from my phone at training. Tonight we're babysitting out niece and nephew. i don't know what we're going to do the rest of the weekend. The only other thing is our final post placement visit. which means we can finally get a court dae. Looks like end of November early December due to scheduling.

    I need a nap today!

  • Morning.  I woke up to some unexpected news. My childhood bestfriend's dad died. I hadn't heard from her in a few days and just found out why. He was only 53. :(

I was excited to share that I got a call about a possible interview last night - but it seems insignificant at the moment.

  • Good morning, ladies.

Looking forward to a great weekend.  We have a new grill to christen - not sure what we're cooking yet but it will be good.

    Have a great day, everyone!

  • Morning!

It's like a fake Thursday for me today. Both this week and next are my 6 day school weeks, so I'm feeling exhausted already at the process of not being off tomorrow. We had meetings all morning with all the 7&8 math teachers so that was a whole lot of not fun.

I'm totally exhausted just thinking about it.

  • Good afternoon!

Story time at the library didn't go quite so well today. Darian was pretty good for most of it, but started fussing about half an hour in (it's usually a 45 minute session). Another baby was fussy too, and the older kids were super hyper the whole time (early start on Halloween candy?) so the lady decided to just cut it short.

I just had my lunch while he was sleeping but now I hear him fussing.

  • Good morning ladies! So happy it's finally Friday. This weekend is all about our LO as all the plans we have are kid related.

Tonight we have a Halloween event for the kiddos at work so I'll be bringing Olivia. She's going to wear her costume and I'm so excited I can't wait. After that we're going to dinner but haven't decided where to yet.

Tomorrow I'll be doing some cleaning and errands in the morning. Then we're going to a kid's birthday costume party. I'm hoping to take it easy in the evening after the party and just relax at home.

Sunday we'll be watching football and then taking Olivia to the pumpkin patch. I have a Halloween outfit all picked out too. Hope you all have a great weekend!

  • TGIF is right!  Today was a good day at school...my kids took a quiz, so I got a lot done, and then we played some games.  I got in a great 5 mile run when I got home and then Ed and I are going out to dinner when he gets home.

Tomorrow I have to go to my friend's pumpkin carving party.  It should be fine, though another of her friends who annoys the crap out of me will be there...so that puts a slight damper on it.

Sunday is low key.  I may head to my parents' Sunday night because I am going to a conference Monday and they are closer to the conference site, but we'll see...they are flying out for a month Monday, so it may be too hectic for me to stay.

Monday I get to miss the crazy Halloween madness at school and go to a conference with one of my co-workers.  I'm out Tuesday too for curriculum work, so the week should fly by!

  • Today was an odd day at work.  They have changed around our clinical schedule and it's not really productive so I felt like I was spinning my wheels.

Tomorrow we are going to my Dad's for turkey and then to a friends house to watch UFC.  Hopefully I can get by without eating TOO much junk.

Sunday I can going shopping with a friend over to Michigan to try and get some maternity clothes or figure out what I want to get once I'm bigger.
