WTF

So I had hosted a Pampered Chef party. Last friday the order was placed. Monday I got an email saying it was shipped and should be here Friday (today). Yesterday I checked the tracking for FedEx and it said that it was left at our front door at 11:15 am. DH and I both work during the day so I text him since he gets home at 4 and told him there should be 3 packages there.

Yeah, um nothing was there when he got home!!! WTF do I do? I contacted the consultant and she doesn't know anything more than I do. I asked if P/C has insurance on their product and she was going to see. It's 3 boxes and at least $850 worth of product. We have a front deck with railings so unless someone was watching our house, nobody would really see it from the street just driving by. We have stuff delivered all the time that we order online and have never had something stolen so I'm hoping this isn't the case but you never know.I thought about calling FedEx but I'm sure they will say it was dropped off since that is what it says online.

Re: WTF

  • DId you check with your neighbors to make sure they didnt leave it with them since you werent home?  They tend to do that a lot with our packages.

  • No but it said it was left on our porch online. And we were home all evening so if they were left I would think our neighbor would have ran them over or called us.
  • oooh, that would piss me off. Thats a lot of money and product, and I love pampered chef!

Speaking of this, my mom mailed Owen's halloween costume - it said it was supposed to be here on tuesday - well, I tracked it, and it said it was out for delivery yesterday - guess what, no package.

I've about had it with fedex and usps. How hard is it to get a package from point a, to point b? Do they do backround checks on their delivery people? I swear we have thieves running our neighborhood route.

  • Do you have a situation like us where there is an identical house with identical house number on a street with only a difference on the word "ave" in the street name?  That happens a lot to us.

We almost had this happen on Wednesday.  We have been waiting for a package from HP for 3 touchpads.  DH checked the tracking and saw that it was left at our door, he ran home and picked them up.  The box was not disguised well and someone could have walked off with our 3 touchpads and made a crap load of money on ebay for them.

    Hope you find your package!

So do you think the online tracking could be wrong? Anytime I've tracked stuff I always get it when they say it is delivered. But we usually get stuff through UPS or USPS and they always take it to our backdoor. Fedex I've never dealt with. I'm just pissed that they would leave 3 huge boxes out front! I'd be fine going and picking it up from the location.

  • If it were me I'd probably lie to fed ex and say I was home all day and no one came to the house and make them send the delievery driver back out to verify that that is the house he left the items at...I don't know if they would do that or not but it would at least confirm whether or not he had the right house and they were taken...he couldn't have forgotten that fast what houses he delievered to the day before, right?

I get packages from Scentsy at least once a week and it always cracks me up because the UPS driver always takes our door mat, which is super small, and throws it over the boxes...which I guess is a nice gesture, but they cover like 1/3 of the box and if there's more then one, it's pointless...LOL!  :)

  • Well I called FedEx. Ok our address is North XX st and it was sent to West XX St! WTF All addresses in Omaha are North or South. So he is sending a drive to find it and they will call if it is delivered to my house. Hopefully it is later in the day otherwise I'll call our next door neighbor to grab them since they are retired.
  • This isnt helpful, but I've been pissy with the UPS lately too.  We were home on a Saturday morning a couple weeks ago and the stupid mailman put one of those "sorry we missed you" things on our door for something we needed to sign for.  Um, you never even knocked or rang the doorbell!

THEN like 3 days later, I was literally in the driveway moving my trash cans when the mailman pulled up - he WAVED at me, and then proceeded to leave a "LAST NOTICE" slip to pick the same thing up.. WTF!?

When we went to the post office to pick it up we asked, "arent they supposed to attempt to make contact, before just leaving these notices?" and the guy goes, "Yeah, they are supposed to but they dont always."

Okay, well this is a problem.  He blew it off like we should just get over it.  Stupid.

  • When our packages get delivered they used to try and throw our mat over it too, which I think draws more attention. You can drive through our neighborhood and see packages sitting on people's front steps quite often.

We had an issue with usps last week, because they evidently got a number off our on mailbox and gave a lot of people the wrong mail. We got the mail for the person across the street from us, the girls next door got the mail for the guy across the street from them, etc. Thankfully, most of us know each other, but I am still missing a couple credit card statements that I believe went to the people across from us and they haven't brought them over. So, I keep checking my accounts.

I hope you get your packages! I would be ticked.

  • Jeez what is with these delivery people! At least our mailman is cool. He knows we enter through our backdoor so he'll drive down and put any packages there.

I'm hoping that if they can't find it that they or P/C will replace it.  I'm sure as hell not dishing out a penny for their mistake. And I want my freakin stones!
