If you could spare a few T&Ps for me
I would greatly appreciate it right now. I came down to find that our dog had passed away in his sleep. I am heartbroken. I have done all that I can to shield R from seeing it. I am just hoping he doesn't ask, as I don't think I could explain it right now. I cannot stop crying and DH is trying to get home. All this on top of already dealing with two kids and PPD.

Hugs to you. I am so sorry to hear that. They are members of the family. It took me awhile to get over when my childhood passed away. I read the Rainbow Bridge poem and it did help.
I am so sorry you're going through this. I definitely understand how hard the loss of a pet is.
Also, reading this post I started crying because my Godson's dog is named Maverick, and he is a 10 year old lab that he and his brother are really attached too. I know he's getting old and reading your post about your Maverick made me cry for them.
