Project Runway finale- spoilers
How does everyone feel about the winner?
I was kind of happy, I really figured it would be her. I am still convinced that Anya did not just learn to sew, although I guess crazier things have happened.
I was surprised at Viktor- he really dropped the ball with those see-through things. If he had stuck with his prints and that dress he showed last week he would have been a shoe in. ETA: If his collection was more cohesive, he should have won, he really threw away the competition for himself.

i was shocked that i didn't LOATHE joshua's collection.
if i was picking...i'd have chosen kimberly, because i loved all of her clothes. but i'm glad anya won, and that they've started trying to take into account who could be a "brand"...because christian siriano has done that majorly, and it reflects well on them. jeffery sebelius going from winning projrun to designing costumes for a live action bratz movie...not so much.

Josh's collection ended up being pretty good.
Viktor got a a bit crazy at the end. I agree with Heidi that it looked like two different collections. One awesome and one not so much.
Kimberley really pulled it out in the end and her collection looked pretty good.
I think it's total bullshit. It's not a fashion show anymore, it's purely a reality TV show. Maybe nest season they can have the "models" from ANTM walk the runway. It's the only way they could lessen the integrity more than they have now.
Anya's a really nice person, but that her "Uli but not as good" sh!t came in 1st (instead of the 4th place it should've) is a travesty. Viktor or Kim should've won, (or maybe Josh, but I hate him so much that I can't see past it for a fair assessment). Viktor's was actually may favorite, and I could see the same person having allllllll of those pieces in their closet, and to me that's the definition of a cohesive collection. (Zoe Saldana, Florence Welch, Diane Kruger, January Jones, Katy Perry...I could go on and on.)

I have a feeling that it was more about her consistency throughout the season, plus they knew she somehow basically put together the whole collection in a matter of days, and that it was wearable.
Kimberly was good, but she showed that stupid skirt that they hated. Josh had to do stuff like those crazy shorts. And Victor's collection was such a mix, I rolled my eyes when the model went down the model with her butt cheeks hanging out.. all of which the judges later mentioned in their critiques.
I think Anya's collection was pretty simple, obviously she seems to perform well only under pressure! -- but I could picture her being a designer. Someone like JOsh seems like they'd end up more like a Chris March.
That being said - I am shocked too. I had already basically grieved because I "knew" Anya would lose after previewing her stuff to the judges and it was so awful.

I'm in the minority in that I LOVE that Anya won! I loved her collection, it was absolutely beautiful.
Joshua had to go with those awful neon colors, tacky tacky tacky. I was hoping he'd stay away from them.
Victor had a couple of dresses that were just too sheer and gave it all away. They could have been beautiful if he had upped the taste level.
As for Kimberly, although her colors were beautiful, the collection lacked the wow factor. That bubble bum skirt was horrendous; I can't believe she kept that in the show.
There have been ANTM alumni in the final runways before. I didn't notice any this time, though. It's sad that I watch these shows enough to have noticed them.
Anya is totally a poor man's Uli. Viktor was robbed. The judges really think the sun shines out of Anya's a $ s.

Of the 4, Anya was my favorite. I agree that the competition was Viktor's to lose, which he did obviously. I hated all that black sheer crap but loved the rest of it. I expected a better taste level out of him. I am annoyed that Josh was even in the finals to begin with, let alone the 2nd place winner. He should have been gone half a season ago, IMO. I can't believe they kept him around for anything more than drama-value. Kimberly's was better than I expected and I like a lot of what she does but I don't think it was special enough to win.
I liked the season in general, I guess, but the designers didn't compare to some from previous seasons.I agree that it was victor's to lose, and I see why he lost. MK was right - when put on an 18 year old, size 2 model - the sheer looks great. But the majority of women out there aren't going to be wearing that.
I liked Anya, and I liked her collection. Was it really the winning collection? Eh. I'm not upset she won, but I'm not like "Yes- she was the clear winner" either.
Josh, though. The colors were hideous, that print was hideous- but the judges loved it. I DON'T GET IT!!!!!!!! He shouldn't have been in the finals, and sure as heck shouldn't have been #2.

This whole season was the Anya show. I like Anya but it ruined the competition, I wish Viktor had shown better.

Anya's collection is more my personal style but she didn't deserve to be the winner. Kimberly was absolutely robbed! I loved the blue pants with the off the shoulder backless top.
I can't stand Josh. He is a bully and a drama queen. but that being said I actually liked his collection. It was fun and edgy
So very annoyed. I'm done watching as well (well, after all-star).
I agree with everything you wrote (except I might have a slight preference for Kimberly's collection over Viktor's, but still). I've been saying all season, Anya is so one-note, like Uli and her "Miami pah-ty dresses". Her collection was completely underwhelming. I'm not as pissed as when Gretchen won (still pissed!), but I'm definitely rolling my eyes at Anya winning. And the fact that you could see it coming aaaall season. Annoying. Meh.
