Not a single thing was broken. ?Not even me although they tried to booby trap one of the boxes. ?I pulled my knife block out (it was wrapped, so I didn't know what it was) and I felt something slide. ?Instead of reaching out with my hand to stop it, I tilted it to stop the slide. ?Yay for instincts not working. ?It was all my knives, in the block rather than separate. ?So, fingers and toes were spared.
There's only 1 thing missing. ?The lid to the coffee pot. ?That's H's fault. ?And the coffee maker won't work without it. ?Grrrr. ??
Re: you won't believe this
that's wonderful!!
congrats on the success!
Anything you can achieve through hard work, you could also just buy.
I can't get another one. ?It would be the 3rd one in 2 years. ?I bought one when I moved to Omaha b/c I'd left mine behind in Denver. ?Then I left that one behind in Omaha and got another in Japan. ?I'll figure out something. ?A friend has a key to our houes in Japan, so I'll ask her to look for it. ?I need her to ship some books anyway.
For now, I'll keep doing my pot of boiling water, a filter, and a funnel. ?It works surprisingly well. ?And when that doesn't work, there's always my local coffee shop.
