it's Friday, Blthches!

We made it.  Barely, but we did.

I only have some snow to show for it.

That's right.  Snow.

Nothing major, but we do have a storm warning for tomorrow for up to 6" (I think we will get closer to 3").  Damnation.  To read more of my feelings about it, check out my blog today.

We are leaving work early this afternoon to get the hell out of dodge.  We are heading up north to Burlington (my alma mater) to visit some friends and get dinner and drinks, then do some shopping tomorrow and look for a new truck for G.  Then hightail it back home to get all snuggly in our house while the snow falls.  And sleep for what I hope will be 12 hours. I am STILL tired from LA.

Leaving for NOLA and then Denver (squee!  MISTY!) on Tuesday...

Had a great speed workout last night and then dinner with Gerren's company as a thank you for the hardwork the employees all put in after the flood.

I lead a very lame life.

Happy Friday, Y'all!

Re: it's Friday, Blthches!

  • Yesterday was awesome! I left work at 3:30, went home and slept until 7. H made me beef w/ broccoli, I watched Big Bang Theory and Grey's and then went back to sleep!

We got snow, too. Maybe an inch, enough that we still have snow on the lawn, but not on the driveway. So that's a perfect amount.

Hockey tonight! We also might be going to our college pizza place for dinner, which is always exciting.

Then I'm looking forward to a weekend of relaxing and some cleaning.

  • You are a travelling band Mrs. G. A veritable travelling band.

It's shivery here today. I busted out of my house in flip flops, of course. There's always a day I do that, and my feet freeze, then I don't make that mistake again this season. Today was that day. I also had my Land's End vest on, and realized when I got into the city that it was inside out. MFD was yelling at the dogs and things were chaotic this morning, but still. hahahaha. I got a large hazelnut DD with skim for my morning troubles.

Last night was errands in the rain. I went to Kiddie Mart for a storage bin. My trusty Totes bubble umbrella broke, and I happened upon one in the store, so I got a replacement and also got one for my stepmom for a Christmas gift. Do you know KFart doesn't have ice cube trays? True story.

Onward to the Dollar Store where I got ice cube trays and stuff for my costume. Home to change, eat, and clean the kitchen while MFD watched that fool Charlie Brown. I packed my lunch and gym bag, then finished making my pot o' gold while watching Parks & Rec and The Office. We also watched Beavis & Butt-head, so glad they're back.

    TGIF!

Stupid wintry weather will mean I will not feel like leaving my house tomorrow, and I have a Relay breakfast in the Dirty Jerz and a Halloween party an hour away at night. grrrrr

  • hey all!

Went home last night and just chilled.  I coudln't get warm no matter how hard i tried.  Probably should have been a sign for what was to come this morning........a cold.  I am officially sick and feel like crap.  I honestly don't know how i'm going to get through the next week without nyquil. Crying

My head was in a fog this morning, and i must have gotten ready fast b/c i got to work at 7:10 rather than 7:45 when i need to be here.  So i'm leaving early today.

However, i think i'm going to use this cold to  my full advantage and not go to niece's b-day party tomorrow.  I'll send J with the present and instructions to bring me a piece of cake, but other than that, I think i'm not going to wander to far from bed.....

  • Last night I went to BBB got 2 new pillows they were heavenly on our heads. Also, I go a new trash can, hopefully Pierce will not be able to knock this one over and we won't have to keep our trash can in our closet. After wondering around there I still had time before my dinner so I went to Carter's. They were having a 40% off sale. So I got 4 onesies, 2 outfits for less than $40. I went to Olive Garden last night. I LOVE the OG Greg hates it. Probably because I am as Italian as the Olive Garden(the only this about me is italian is my last name and I guess the child inside me in a good chunk Italian). Greg is 100% so he hates it with a passion.

  • Yesterday - work was busy and my non-stop yawning seems to kick in between 3-5pm and that's when a nap sounds really good. Got home and wasn't really hungry so we opted to take Allie on a walk to J's parents house and back. It was too late to make spaghetti so we had sandwiches for dinner. I called it a night at 845p.

Going into work late today due to beta #2 & to check my progesterone levels! I'll be back later to say to everyone else :)

  • I'm exhausted, I want to just go to sleep after I get home, for real.  It's cold here today, which I'm actually super excited about because I love the cold weather.  Got to bust out the scarf today!  I do have to remember to start using hand lotion more often though, now that it's so dry - my hands are not looking so good!  We started running the humidifier at night, too.

This weekend we are going to NJ for a stupid 85th birthday party.  I'm sort of bummed because today and this weekend are my fertile days (there was a message on my phone today that said "the flowers are blooming" lol) and I have to spend them with Jeff's family.  Womp womp.

  • The flowers are blooming...heh heh heh.  I agree with you about the dry skin Laura.  I noticed in the car this am how raw my hands are.  I love the Neutrogena Norwegian Formula in the cold weather - it's about the only thing that helps me through the winter.

Got home from work last night just in time for K to leave for bowling.  I fed Baby Q, played with him a bit then put him to bed, unloaded & reloaded the dishwasher, washed all the dirty bottles, folded two loads of laundry and washed and dried another, watched Big Bang Theory - not the greatest episode - and Rules of Engagement and then an old Jeff Dunham special upstairs.

Up at 4:30 this morning as I needed to run to the store to get snack for the kids halloween party.  I showered, dressed and went to the store, then came back to get Baby Q ready.  I misplaced my keys when I came back from the store so when I went to leave for work I couldn't find them - and needed the desk key that's on that ring so I couldn't just take the spare.  Lost about 15min before I finally found them.  So much for being early this morning.

Taking a half day for the daycare's halloween party.  And to just have a few hours to myself.  Need to visit the rental tomorrow to turn off the outside water, replace the air filter in the furnace and just check in.  Also probably getting blood work done, then halloween party tomorrow night.  Not doing a damn thing Sunday, and proud of it.

  • Morning all!  Chip chip chipper over here, no idea why. Have yet to have my coffee, but I'm dressed like a loon at work (aka SunDrop Girl).

Today is our Halloween potluck and I don't know how I'm going to say no to lasagne, witches brew, krispy kreme, popcorn balls, swedish meatballs and cupcakes.  My asss brought healthy artichoke dip and veggies.  I may not share w/ the rest of the office and hoard my healthyness at my desk.

Puppy class was interesting last night.  Pepper got attacked again by the pibble (aka Pitbull, right Leo?).  She was so scared she sprayed from her anal glands.  Did you know dogs did that?  Cuz I sure as hell didn't!  It smelled bad and all the other dogs tried to eat it.  Vomit.  The pibble and Pepper are not allowed to socialize anymore. I'm a little traumatized myself.

  • UGH anal spray is nasty.  We used to have the groomer squeeze our dog's to empty them.  Blech.

  • I've never heard of a dog spraying from them when they're scared!  makes me think of a skunk.........

  • Morning!  I'm chip chip chipper today as well, because it's day zero, last day of work!  Booya!  I still have at least one project that will trail into next week, but I'll be worrying about it from my couch in yoga pants, which somehow makes it easier to handle.

My parents got back from Africa yesterday and discovered some weird stuff had gone on while they were gone.  WTF their housesitter didn't call me, I have no idea.  Like, a guy parked his camper just up the street from their house (they live in the holler) and was apparently emptying his waste (ick!) into the creek.  Some neighbors called the Sheriff's Dept who said they didn't care.  But housesitter also says that doors were left open (they are generally unlocked) and the house smelled like BO, like the guy had been in it.  Really creepy.  AND he apparently put up a scarecrow, and then was adding to it each night.  Housesitter put a ring of flour around it but didn't bother to leave a note about this, so my parents were even more freaked out about the ring, thinking it was part of a satanic ritual or something.

AND then their dog is sick.  Sad  He was crying inconsolably and appeared lost, and like he couldn't see.  He's at the vet, but he may have a brain tumor.

  • Moleson, take care of yourself!  And yay for an excuse to not go to the parties!  Is J also going to the infamous housewarming?

Xtine, do you watch RHoNJ?  Your Olive Garden line reminds me of that, where Teresa said in her cookbook that Caroline is as Italian as the Olive Garden.  And don't feel bad, MH loves OG as well.

  • Mush, that is awful about your parents' house. WTF! Why wouldn't the housesitter call you? I don't get it.

Misty - eat a lot of your healthy things and a bite of each naughty thing just to satisfy you.

I hate the Olive Garden, except for the salad. I do enjoy that.

Lol, I'm glad I could oblige.  I was thinking it was too random for a coincidence, but wasn't sure.

  • Steph, I lurve the salad too!  H and I are always like, HOW is this so good, when it's so plain?

I'm super annoyed at the housesitter.  My parents are always getting into jams because they're trying to help someone out.  They have someone they normally pay, but this other woman is in her late 70's and had just gotten kicked out of her apartment (landlord selling) and was without a place to stay just when my parents would be out of town.  But, as I predicted, she needed to move in to her new place while they were away.  Luckily the normal housesitter was able to take over, but jesus.
