Weekend Plans?

So, besides either hating or loving the forecasted possible snow what are the DC nesties up to this weekend??

Tonight:  Dinner at home, yay.  We got some fun pasta at Eataly last weekend and tonight we're recreating a dish we had on our honeymoon in Vegas.  Maybe running to target and to our favorite place for some pumpkin beer.

Tomorrow:  Sleeping in!  Yay!  Farmer's market in the AM, then cleaning around the house most of the day.   We have a 5k at 5:00, so we will see what the weather looks like for that.

Sunday:  Another round of pumpkin beer tasting, then making a mini Thanksgiving.  I love, love, love stuffing.  So basically, the meal is made to support my craving.  Stuffing (mushrooms, carrots, sausage), roasted chicken and whatever veggie looks good on Saturday at the market.  More cleaning and relaxing at home.  Some DVR time too.

Re: Weekend Plans?

  • Tonight: Hanging out at home!  I couldn't be more excited.

Tomorrow: Getting the oil changed in our cars and then going to The Melting Pot for dinner.  It'll be our first time there, so I'm pretty excited about that.

Sunday: Church, relaxing, and cooking a nice big Sunday pot roast dinner with pie for dessert.

  • I love stuffing too! It's the only reason I make Thanksgiving or fake thanksgiving.

Today/Tonight - BIL is gracing us with his presence at some point.  Hopefully he'll be in a helpful mood so he can help me get stuff ready for our party tomorrow. I have a ton of stuff to do (mainly prep crack dip, pizza breads and bake cookies). Depending on when he gets here, i'll take him to dinner and then we'll probably play video games until DH gets home and BIL's FI gets here.

Tomorrow - up early to frost the cookies, then make the cheese platter and vegetable tray, assemble the rest of the food and get the cocktails chilled.  We'll probably be drinking all day.  Hopefully 1 of the 3 other able bodied humans at my house will offer to rake the leaves in the front yard.  Then people will start showing up for our party!

    Sunday - recover.

  • Tonight- I have a date with my couch and a blanket. I'll probably do some random things like clean my rings and think of dinner ideas for next week. I may also paint my nails a dark purple or black for Halloween.

Tomorrow- Cat sitting in the morning, then staying in until evening since it's going to be miserable. We'll go over our friend's place for pizza, then off to the Torpedo Factory's Halloween/ Dia de los Muertos party.

Sunday- Church, out to lunch with fellow members/attenders, baptism in the afternoon, Steelers game. Hopefully we'll fit grocery shopping in at some point...

  • My weekend plans are annoyingly up in the air.

Tonight:  nada.  Probably clean the house, do some laundry.

Tomorrow:  DH and I were supposed to be flying to Savannah, but as he is still currently out of the country, we've postponed our flight to Sunday morning.  Though he still has not departed, he **thinks** that he may arrive home sometime tomorrow morning - midday.  If it's snow-y and miserable, I'm not doing anything.  I'm protesting.  If he does not come home, then I am cancelling our trip and booking myself a spa day somewhere.  (any suggestions?)

Sunday:  Crossing my fingers that we'll be in flight to Savannah.  We have a ghost tour scheduled (and paid for, non-refundable, of course) for Sunday night and I've taken through next Wednesday off of work.  Hopefully we'll be able to make it!

  • Tonight: taking the boys to my office Halloween party, then getting take-out and watching It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! with the boys.

Tomorrow: a little bit of work at my fun job and then a playdate.

Sunday: Farmer's Market then baby shower.

    ? ?????????????????????????????????????????
  • Today: Stuff around house, shop for last piece of Halloween costume, Halloween party tonight with some of Otto's old high school friends.

Saturday: Lots of lounging around, meeting friends for happy hour, and a neighborhood Halloween party.

Sunday: More lounging/house stuff (yay!), and celebrating our monthiversary a day late, probably going out to dinner.

  • I want to know the results of your pumpkin beer tasting! So far, we've found the Buffalo Bill's Pumpkin Ale (in the black boxes/labels with a simple pumpkin on the front that says "the original" or something) to be the most pumpkin-y.

    We're not that interesting:

Tonight: a walk or some family playground time, dinner and then a movie and wine for DH and me.

Tomorrow: Maybe the UMD football game for DH (weather permitting) and then a kid-friendly halloween party.  I'd like to bake some pumpkin whoopie pies for it but it depends on my ambition.

Sunday: Maybe visiting a local winery, maybe taking the dogs for a hike at my mom's house.

  • DH and I have no plans, except for a pickup of our first Polyface Farms order (which I'm very excited about). Fun fun!
  • not a lot going on this weekend, which is perfect after having guests twice this month

tonight: grabbing dinner with DH then meeting friends for a haunted house walk

tomorrow: sleeping in, tidying up, getting a barcelona itinerary nailed down (since we leave in 3.5 weeks!) and maybe grocery shopping so we can be lazy on sunday.

sunday: gym, laundry, watching football (go pats!), more vaca planning, and making guinness pot roast for dinner

  • Tonight: DH arrives home after a week-long business trip. So, just picking up the LOs and relaxing with him

Tomorrow: Marathon expo, Target, catching up on home stuff

Sunday: Running the Marine Corps Marathon; showering; stuffing my face with the pizza and Halloween candy I dreamt about for 26.2 miles; sleeping

  • Tonight: meeting DH for happy hour drinks and dinner in Clarendon; coming home and watching the rest of season 1 of Breaking Bad

Saturday: meeting some friends for Disco Brunch at Level One in Dupont; in the afternoon my sister is coming over to stay the night so we'll start drinking while watching football; going to the OSU gamewatch

Sunday: relaxing and watching the Browns game

  • Tonight:  Scrubbing the house and finishing putting up Halloween decorations

Tomorrow:  Cooking, we're having a halloween party at night so while DH is doing the outside decorations I get to do the kitchen and food stuff.  I'm supposed to work from 10 - 2 but I'm hoping my manager will call me back.  I really need those 4 hours at home to finish.  We also have some friends coming in from Wisconsin.

Sunday:  Recovery, spending time with friends that are coming in town.

  • Tonight - picking up LO from daycare and hanging out with DH - maybe we'll watch a movie on demand?

Tomorrow -  my 20th high school reunion. Gasp! It's an afternoon barbecue in northern Montgomery County that just got moved indoors. So we'll be driving in the snow to get there.I'm also dropping my car off at the body shop for an estimate of the damage from the fender-bender I got in on Wednesday. It looks fine, but bumpers can be deceptive.

Sunday -  I'd like to get some sewing done - I think I am mostly recovered from my traumatic needle through the finger injury. I have three quilts ready to be quilted and would love to finish at least one of them (which is for a baby who is due in less than a month). The other two are not intended for anyone, so they can wait.

  • I just finished happy hour, i plan on doing dishes and then rolling and cutting out halloween sugar cookies.  i made the dough a few days ago

I wanted to do the Highland Games this weekend but it may be too cold tomorrow.

We need to carve our pumpkin and finish the halloween outdoor decorations.  We wait to do the cobwebs because the wind always blows them around.

We need to do Markoffs haunted forest too because we have tickets

  • Tonight: The usual - eat dinner w/ DH on his break, then either catch up on the DVR or read. I'll probably go to bed early, I had several early mornings this week so I am still feeling sleep-deprived. I *should* clean our bathroom, but we'll see how motivated I am.

Tomorrow: Cleaning, DVR catch-up, finish outside Halloween decorations, go shopping & use Kohl's giftcards, maybe have some friends over to eat chili & make s'mores

Sunday: I'd love to go hiking, and we'll need to grocery shop.

  • Last night - happy hour at Sweetwater and dinner at Eggspectation

Today - hanging around the house, then dinner at my parents' house

    Sunday - Halloween party
