I think I have finally found what I'm going to do in our bedroom. I found this bedding and what to pair yellow accents with it. Do you think gray and yellow is too trendy? Is it going to be a thing we look back on in 5 or 10 years and think "What was I thinking"? Also I'm changing out our furniture now (dark brown) for white.

Re: Bedding help
I'm not a big fan of yellow with gray. It seems like it may be too harsh (not sure if that's the word I'm looking for) for the bedroom.
Is that green stripes on the sheets? I like green better.
I don't think changing to white furniture is too trendy though.
Gray and yellow IS very trendy......however, pillows are a cheap fix. If in two years you decide you are over the pillows, then change them.
What kind of flooring do you have in your bedroom? I do think the bedding pictured above + white furniture is going to seem really, really cold. If you add textured carpet that would add some warmth. I really, really like the bed in the picture. That is a gorgeous piece of furniture. It is completely neutral, warm, and has a little bit of texture with the nailhead trim. Yummy.
Honestly, I don't know that I'm a fan of that bedding. If you're going to do yellow and gray, I would make both colors very muted--soft gray, soft yellow. The below I think would look okay, but I agree that I think yellow with that bedding might look harsh.

I'm a fan of yellow and gray. We recently painted our bedroom walls Behr "fashion gray," and our duvet cover is a mustard-y color. Neither color is incredibly muted, but every day I think about how much I LOVE how it turned out. I think it's easier with the walls gray, b/c if we get tired of the yellow/gray combo, we can easily change the bedding. Here's how it looks (iPhone pic, sorry for the poor quality):
I love this gray/yellow combination - it feels very warm and inviting, not at all stark, plus, the pick ups on the bedspread give it interest.
