Okay, I feel like a horrible mom now but I really wanted to get some decent pictures of DD in her costume. It was looking like rain so I didn't want to take her outside. Instead, I sat her in front of a window. So, how do you get a 2 y/o to sit for almost 30 minutes while messing with camera settings/lighting to try to capture the perfect shot? You keep saying....
"Where's Daddy?" ... "Do you see Daddy? Show me!" ... "Is he out there? Where?" ... "Wait, there he is!"
Okay, so I'm a big fat liar and after a while, she figured that out. Poor little girl... mommy is such a horrible person.
Here you can see she is getting quite annoyed with our little game
and unfortunately there were no smiles... what a sad little face!
Looks like I'm going to have to try again after daddy gets home. Then she will be all smiles!
On another note, her costume is done and I'm pretty happy with the way everything came together. I put more pictures up on my blog if you are interested:

Re: The things we do for pictures...
my photography blog
Thank you. I really wanted to add some type of antennas to her head as well... but I don't think she will keep them on.

Such a cutie!
DD was a bee one time for a program at our church. I put her hair in half-pigtails and then stuck black pipe cleaners in the ponytail holders and reinforced with bow clips. So if you can get her hair in pigtails, you might be able to make antennae that she won't pull out!
ETA: found a pic...very low budget costume since she wore it for all of 30 minutes
