As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Are you guys at Belvoir? I thought I remember you guys being in the DC area? My hubby is looking to going there. I know your DH is EOD so I wanted to get your point of view on the area! Can you PM me?

I love this area, too. This is where I lived when I met DH. Belvoir is a really nice base, but it is growing by leaps and bounds due to BRAC. They recently opened a brand new hospital on post (though I have heard that they don't have sufficient staff and that is impacting care). Housing is really nice, nearly all of it is either renovated or less than six years old. There is often a wait for housing, though. It depends upon many factors--time of year, rank, number of dependents, whether or not you qualify for a credit (we PCS'd right after DH redeployed, so we were given a 14 month "credit", thus bumping us above those who'd gotten on the list within the last 14 months).
