Halloween costumes

What is everyone going to be??

I am going as black swan - got a black tutu and feather headpiece yesterday and am SUPER PUMPED to do my eye makeup all super crazy like Natalie Portman. The best part? Somehow my friends convinced DH he should be a male ballerina. He is wearing black sparkly leggings which he stuffed with a huge sock lol and a poofy white shirt. It's pretty funny.

Re: Halloween costumes

  • I am wearing this, in long sleeves with no bow (obviously). I think I'm going to add a "fig" leaf over the pelvic bone though. image

My husband will be wearing this

We will be one little skeleton family.

  • My hubby is going to be a vampire and I'm the vampire slayer. In order to get him to dress up as anything, I have to make it something simple that doesn't require a lot of dressing up, lol.

Please tell me you are going to be Buffy the Vampire Slayer. That would be so awesome.

  • Just like the last few Halloweens, we will be going to the costume store on Saturday, and have to pick from what is still available.  We are pretty bad at costume planning.

And Rachel, I am impressed that your DH is willing to wear that, what a good sport!

  • This will be my first time dressing up as an adult, ever!!! And H's as well :-)

We've been invited to a pumpkin carving party this weekend, and must come in full costume with judging and all...I'm afraid we're not overly creative, as I had to pull H's leg to get him dressed up in anything...but we're going as....

    Me: The Yellow Angry Bird

H: One of the Green pigs!

And yes, I will post pictures...hahaha!

  • I'm too fail to dress up for Halloween, but Milo will be a pumpkin... or at least I hope so!  We'll see if he wants to wear his costume.

It may be too big for him, but we'll see.  The one we got that was supposed to fit him (6-12 months) was too small!

  • I just bought my costume today.  I'm going as Lady Gaga and I spent $79 on the items to make it.  I'm actually NOT ok with that, and since I was finally able to print the coupon from Party City I am SO taking it in for a price adjustment!

It had to be work appropriate since I'm wearing it all day Monday so I'm wearing my mid-length black skirt with a white tutu over it, black/white striped thigh highs and arm warmers, a black & white feather boa, a black hat, my blonde wig and funky azz make up.

No costume parties this year.  We've been invited to two but like every year on Halloween weekend, it's our weekend with SD.  It's ok though - a small price to pay since in about 3-4 years she'll want nothing to do with us on a Saturday night ever again.  :)

  • I probably won't dress up really. Might wear some stuff to kind of look like a pirate to hand out Halloween candy. With leggings and boots with big shirts being so in...all I need is a bandanna around my head! Haha! : )

I'll be stealing the photo they take at work since we do a bank-wide costume contest within all 17 offices.

After 11 Halloween's at the bank if I don't win the contest with this Lady Gaga outfit, I'm finished. It's my last chance to win the contest or start going into work in plain clothes.

I haven't been to a costume party in 5 years.  It used to be a huge deal for me and my MOH when we were younger because tomorrow is her birthday so we always used to celebrate it at the costume parties.  But once we got older, gained S/O's and more responsibilites, the bar costume parties just weren't as big a deal anymore and birthdays became more low key.  But, it was fun while it lasted!!
