Re: Bedroom Paint and Decor Help -- Clicky Poll

  • While I dig the bold colors and I think they are "you", IMHO bedrooms should be serene.  So I went light blue.
  • I like the bold (and also think that is "you"), but I think that it also depends on what kind of bedding and decorations your have.  If your wall color is that bold you might want something more neutral for those.  But if you have tamer walls then you can go bolder with the bedding and decorations.

But in the end none of this really matters...get what you like!  It's your house and you should LOVE it!

This is pretty much what I was going to say. Love the bold for any room except a bedroom.

Same, and I can't see the neutral room feeling "right" to you, long term. I feel like you need the color to make you smile when you come in the room.  There might be a good in between with the bold and light blue though!

I'm actually the opposite. I think a bedroom is the perfect place for bold colors. I think colors that are really dark/bold can be too much in other areas of the house, so the bedroom and bathroom tend to be where I get a little more adventurous with color. :)

  • I don't think the bold is too much for a bedroom at all.  I don't know if I would like it as much without the white accents of the window to set it off, but I love the color.
  • Thanks for the input, ladies! I think I'm going to go BOLD!!! Heading to the paint store tomorrow to get some samples. I can't believe we are finally starting on our bedroom!
