Toddler Activities

I'm trying to think of some things to do with the kiddos this winter.

We have music class and story time that we go to often. I also plan to take them to Monkey Joe's ($8 for me + two kiddos).

I think the science center is a bit pricey ($18 for me the 2 kids).

Where else are some good places to go? Or to get 'memberships' to?

  • We love Backyard Adventures and go pretty much weekly once the snow starts flying.  Its cheap, you can bring your own food, and they give you a punch card to earn toward a free admission.  http://www.backyardadventuresofiowa.com/openplay.html

  • We have a botanical center membership and love going there when it's cold outside.  It's a nice, warm place to run around for a bit.  Now M is learning about different plants and textures there.  During the day there are usually not too many people there at all.

I forgot all about this place!! We'll definitely be going there :-)

I love the Botanical Center but it makes me a bit nervous taking G there. She loves to touch, smell and sometimes pull on the flowers. I'm so afraid she going to pick all the flowers/plants!
