Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
Hells no. Not for me at least. I have some long, hard labors. I enjoyed it much more bc I got to get up, birthing ball, walk, tub, everything and great staff! but I took the penicillin for the GBS and man I was nauseous. I stayed over the sink with DH massaging me for my double contrax, which are lovely! I finally got checked at 5 cm, hopped in tub, water broke, got so dizzy and just asked for epi. I could control back contrax but was losing the battle against the front ones. Can't massage tummy when you're holding back the puke! Lol. So I figured I was still 5 and got epi but the 30 min that had passed apparently I whipped thru transition bc I got checked immediately after getting it and was 8-9. Bummer. And epi slowed it down. Took another 5 hours to get to pushing. I really had a great time aside from the like hr of screaming bloody murder for transition thru epi kicking in. lol
Lisa and jennrs--stronger women than I! Felt like for-ev-er.
