So DH and I get the keys to our house on Thursday and probably won't get a chance to go to the house together until Friday evening. We plan to start painting next Saturday. We have discussed paint colours and have to come to somewhat of a decision. Should I get the paint tinted this week, or should I wait until I can hold up the paint chip in the room that we're painting. If I wait to get it tinted, it will delay the painting process and we'd like the get all the painting done in one week so we can move in. WWYD?

Re: Painting advise
In my experience if you can get small sample sizes of the colors you like and paint a 12 inch square on the wall it gives you a better idea of what the color will look like dry.
At the same time if you are really sure that the colors you have chosen aren't going to be to dark on the walls I say sure go get the paint tinted. You just don't want to do that if you don't know if you are going to like the colors on the walls because then you'll be stuck with pails of paint that you won't know what to do with them.
