Stay safe and warm in the storm! I hope if you have lost power you have a way to keep heat going!

Re: East Coast Nesties....
We made it through and as of now we still have power. It was really bad and got bad fast. Here is a pic of outage map black means 100% without power. Fortunatly my town is less then thirty better then 100 in irene.
We are lucky too and still have power. The outages are more than Irene and they are saying it may be more than a week. My parents are out, but they heat with wood and coal so they are toasty.
I hear branches going though, so who knows how it'll be when it is all said and done. I live in the "city" (Alycia will understand the quotes), but not a ton of trees so I think that is one reason we are okay. Also, we did not get nearly as much snow as surrounding towns.
Those of you on Facebook probably saw our scary driving experience yesterday -- thinking since the roads were clear here they would be one or two towns over -- yeah, not so much. Roads were fine when we came home though.
I'm not sure about school for tomorrow -- I think we are okay to go here, but daycare might be closed and lots of teachers will have problems getting in.

We're good here. We just got back from church and they were saying that large sections of town had no power, but we do. There are a lot of branches and trees down... I'm not sure how they managed to avoid all our powerlines, but I'm thankful.
We were under the impression that the storm was supposed to hit overnight more than during the day yesterday. We went up to my parents for a few hours and had a hell of a time getting home. I've never seen the roads so bad.
Kate's Recipe Box || Relatively Bookish
We have had no power since about 5:00 yesterday. We stayed home last night, but decided to pack up and head to the in laws this morning since they are predicting that we will have no power for a few days.
On top of that I slipped this morning and twisted my ankle pretty badly. Luckily I wasn't holding the baby when it happened.
I am so jealous!!! Our friend's orchard in Pittsfield, MA got 20 inches yesterday!
We just "winterized" our gardens....in tank tops. I am completely ready for snow and hot chocolate.
