it's a stretch to say this falls under the "cleaning" category but I'm not sure where to post....
This morning our drains quit draining, we had run the washer, the dishwaser, my DH showered, then when I was showering the toilet was gurgling and the shower quit draining. I got out and the tubs in both bathrooms were backed up with a couple inches of water (clean-ish looking water), shower still had a couple inches in it, and toilets wouldn't flush at all. The shower seemed to be draining, but very very slowly, so we left the house for a bit to go shopping and when we got back everything was drained, however, toilets are still very slow to flush, and I haven't even tried to shower or run anything again. I've heard of this happening with septic tanks, but we are on sewer, so what should I do? I have no clue whats going on, it's ALL drains so it's not like one is clogged.
Our landlord is on vacation and she let us know she'd be out-of-touch until the end of the week. We don't even know where to start or what the problem could be.
Re: Drains not draining?
Yeah, my first thoughts were tree roots or lateral line collapse. Neither of which will thrill your landlord (this would be one of the times I'd kiss the ground and thank God I was a renter).
