I confess that I haven't been on TN or TK for 2 months because I am childish and felt extremely ignored so I figured why bother. Not on the MN board here... you ladies are pretty positive and friendly.
AW: I bought a *new* car. Like less than a year old. I'm pretty excited about it.
Vent: I am sincerely annoyed with MIL's side of the family. Every year for the Christmas gathering it's a 3 day weekend at a semi-local hotel. Since it's only a 45 minute drive for us, we drive up on Sat to spend a few hours and them come home. My complaint is that it's supposed to be a family dinner, but we spend the whole time in the pool area getting soaked, screaming at each other over the noise, and you don't even get to see everyone because they hang out in the pool. I offered a suggestion this year that everyone breaks from the pool and goes to an actual dinner. They don't seem thrilled with my idea.
C: I've somewhat checked out at work already. I find myself daydreaming about being on maternity leave.
AW: I spent 9 hours over 2 days cleaning my kitchen Labor Day weekend and I have kept it perfectly clean since. I want a gold star from DH!
V: I hate that I have no control of when this baby is coming! My Dr. said she'd be surprised to see me on Tuesday for my appointment, she thinks she'll be here soon. I really want her to wait until after Tuesday...I don't want to pay for her October insurance premium for 3 days or less!

AW: We traded in our car for an SUC. I LOVE LOVE it! Although the gas mileage went down, I needed the room and not bending down to scoop out kids. Best choice we could of made.
Vent: I'm really sick of feeling like crap!

Confession: I cannot remember the last time I was at the gym. H and I have been taking the dog to the park instead of on a walk. I feel like we are starting down the "It's too cold outside" slope already. And I feel gross.
AW: I'm done with nursing school in 7 week (including finals)! I cannot wait to be done. I have my BA, my LPN and now hopefully my RN. I dream of when at the end of the day I can come home and actually do nothing instead of sit here overwhelmed thinking this is due, test then, lab after, etc. And I think H is really excited for me to stop working PT and get a "real" job.
Vent: My sister and I haven't really spoken since March. It was recently her birthday and I called and and sent a card to extend an olive branch. She called and said we should do lunch and I invited her to my house today for lunch. I told her to arrive between 11:30 and noon. She called me at 12:50 to tell me that she was 10 min away and I told her to forget it. Seriously, rude and annoying. I couldn't tell if I was really angry or overreacting since my blood sugar was low from not eating, yet! Grrrrrr
Confession: I really need to get back to the gym and eat better again. I've really been slacking in both areas lately.
Vent: I really wish Hennepin County would call H and let him know about the job he interviewed for. He's been through 2 interviews plus a full background check and they still haven't let him know. We're waiting to plan a vacation depending on when he starts (if he gets the job).
It's definitely been awhile since I have posted, but I'll play...
Confession: I've been seriously slacking on my reading assignments for my grad class over the last couple of weeks, and I'm worried that it's going to come back and bite me in the butt...
AW: We got our first foster dog! He's super friendly and cuddly, and Lucy loves playing with him. We think he may be part whippet, part something else, and the vet says he's most likely under 1 1/2 years old, so definitely still a puppy!
Vent: We got our first foster dog. We've only had him for 24 hours and I'm pretty sure that the thought "What have we done??" has gone through my head more than "Yay, Foster Dog!" I've never had a male dog before, and he has marked a couple of times in the house (I had to make a makeshift bellyband for him). He's also been having accidents because he isn't 100% potty trained (I can deal with it, but it's frustrating), and he's NOT a fan of the crate. Last night we put him in at about 11pm, and he howled, cried, and tried to dig his way out. At one point, I had to bring him up to bed with us, and after that, he completely passed out. Let me tell you, a queen sized bed is not nearly large enough for two full grown adults, a great dane mix, and a whippet mix. I think that crate training this one is going to be the death of me...
Confession: I ate raw cookie dough yesterday. With raw eggs. It was delicious. I'm not exactly a stickler for all the "pregnancy rules" though - and neither is my doctor. If I want sushi, he said to go to a reputable place and eat it.
AW: The front yard is raked, new solar lights are in place and our house is almost winter-ized. Oh, and we brought the snowblower to be repaired. Yea for no shoveling this year!
Vent: DH went to the bar to watch football instead of getting the roof de-icing cables up and into the gutters/onto the roof to prevent ice dams (last year we insulated like crazy but I still want to prevent them!) and getting the screens onto the gutters. GAH. It needs to be done. I don't want to repair plaster again this year.
I'm on day 2 of the Insanity workout.. I knew it was going to be hard but it's crazy. I'm not sure I can finish it.
Right now I'm sitting here with a big bowl of Halloween candy looking at me, I'm pretty sure this is why I need the Insanity program! Ugg.
Confession: We have family photos scheduled in a week and neither DH or I have anything to wear.
AW: I am loving my pup a lot. I wonder why DH and I waited so long to get a dog because he fits into our lives perfectly.
Vent: I scheduled my flu shot along with a couple of other boosters that I needed for Friday. I'm pretty sure I'm in getting the flu currently. I feel exactly like I did last winter and I'd be surprised to find myself back at work soon... not the reason I want to take a couple of weeks off...
What is the Insanity workout? Seems interesting...
It's like the P90X but a lot harder; it's all cardio.
Day 3 complete, I can hardly walk up the stairs I'm so sore, strangely enough I feel great that I'm working out.
