QOTD Halloween!

What are your plans for tonight? ToTing with kids, handing out candy, going to a party, or something else?

Re: QOTD Halloween!

  • DH is coming home early so we can carve pumpkins, then we are going TorT with DS for about an hour, then we will put him to bed and DH and I sit outside and pass out candy for hte rest of the evening:-) pretty boring!
  • Watching tv :)  We don't get any trick or treaters in our neighborhood.

DD is too little for trick or treating, and it's past her bedtime :)

  • Nothing! I'm expecting maybe one or two ToTers, but otherwise J will be fast asleep while we veg on the couch . . . much like every other night.

  • I'm leaving work a little early to grab C from daycare and cart him to my dad's. We're going to do dinner and trick or treating there (C will probably just ToT at my dad's house actually, maybe the neighbor across the street).

  • A little trick or treating (aka a walk around the neighborhood with DS in his costume) before bed time.

We may or may not sit on our porch to hand out candy. Otherwise, we probably won't get any TOTers.

  • I sent John to the store last night for candy and he came home with WAY TOO MUCH. He's been living at my house for 8 years now, you'd think he'd remember the numbers have dwindled... so I predict we'll be sitting on the couch and eating a lot of crap. Hopefully we'll get enough TorTers to make it worthwhile.... I do love to see the little ones all dressed up and getting so excited!

(In my "get off my lawn" moment, I do turn off the light at 9 bc anyone after that is too damned old to be out begging for candy.)

Same here.  There's no way DD will have energy on a Monday night to go ToTing before her crazy early bedtime.

  • I'm going to try to pick up M early, give him a snack, and go ToTing to a few houses on our street around 6 pm. Then we'll have a simple dinner and give out candy to any kids who knock on our door. I wish we got more ToTers, but we usually only get a couple.

  • Handing out candy, if I get home from work in time.  If not, I guess I'll be eating a lot of candy!

  • Clean the house?  No kids for us and there are very few kids in our neighborhood (I think we had 5 last year).  I keep hoping that more kids will show up, but alas that never seems to pan out :-(
  • I have meetings all day that I'm hoping will let me out in time to get home in time to get the LOs into costume so we can take them to see our neighbors. We're just dressing them up so we can visit the folks we know--so not realy ToTing since they are so little. After they go to bed, DH and I will be vegging on the couch eating all the extra candy we bought.

  • we don't get trick-or-treaters and we are child-free so not that different from any other monday night chez cheeky. we do have some reese's mini pumpkins and i will definitely be having one or two of those today/tonight.

  • T/T with kids. visiting the g'parents, then handing out candy at home past 7:30/8 when we get back.

  • We'll be handing out candy - we get kind of a lot of trick or treaters at our house. It's quite fun. We'll dress the dog up in her costume, and she sprints for the door every time the doorbell rings.
  • I'm going home a little early so we can carve our pumpkin, and we'll take LO to our neighbor's house in his costume. We get kind of a lot of kids, and I hope they all come before LO's bedtime, because we got a lot of candy.

Pretty close to this.  I am going swimming after work, so I get home by 7:30.  LEft candy for DH to hand out, but we only get a few ToTers.  I am so bummed b/c I want all the kids to see my Angry Brid Pumpkins!

  • We're child free, so no TOTing for us. This is the first year we are living in our neighborhood, so I have no clue how many TOTers we will get. I'm thinking of just setting the bowl of candy out on a chair on the porch rather than getting up each time to answer the door. I think that would make our dog really hyper.
  • We are childfree, so no TorTing for us, but we will be handing out candy to the few that come around our neighborhood.  I enjoy seeing all the kids in their costumes!

  • DH and I are going to hand out candy (we only get, like, 5 TorTers) then we'll head over to the next block.  They shut down the street and all the houses are decked out to the 9s.  It's awesome.  We'll just walk around there and check out the sights then go home and snuggle.
  • We will do an abbreviated trick or treat (a dozen houses or so) to show off LO in his costume and I hope we get some trick or treaters in return! We generally get a half-dozen or so.

  • Visiting scary perry just to see what people have done this year then heading back to our house to pass out candy.
  • We'll have any early dinner and then go trick or treating to the neighbors we know.  Two of our kid free friends are coming over to join in on the fun.  Last year we had about a 100 children come to the house, so we have tons of candy to hand out.  I seriously hope the cold weather doesn't deter them.
  • Hoping to pick up the kids early then do an early dinner, change into costumes and get some good pics before heading over to Lakeforest mall for their TorT (5-7PM).  We did the door to door back home in PA yesterday afternoon with the cousins and other friends so I thought the indoor mall TorT sounded like a good plan (we are only 5 min away).  I know the Kentlands is having their Halloween festival but it is cold and from years past it seemed like more for the older kids than my kids ages.
  • We're going to Subway for dinner, then grocery shopping. No trick-or-treating since we have no kids, and no one trick-or-treats in our complex. We went to a party this weekend, so that was our celebrating. It's just not possible to go out and do anything fun on a Monday night when I have to start work earlier than normal tomorrow.
  • I handed out candy. DH helps with a parade every year so I always just hang out at home and see kids in their cute costumes. Went to a party yesterday though!

  • I handed out candy. We had a friend and her daughter come over, since their neighborhood isn't big for ToT. They hit a few houses before DH got home for dinner. After we ate, DH stayed to hand out the candy and I went to a couple more houses with them. We had about 220 pieces of candy and ran out by 8pm. Luckily, only one set of kids rang the bell after we turned out the light.
