Good Morning!
I thought I would start this thread this morning. I am at my parents' house because I am headed to a conference in a little bit and their house is closer, but they left this morning for vacation, so everything is unplugged except my Mom's laptop...so I am nesting early!
I'm looking forward to today's conference. It is on co-teaching and I am going with my team's special educator, who is great. And we are going for crepes for lunch! Bonus!
Then tonight will be passing out candy when I get home.

Thanks! I'm nervous/excited. I have a bunch of people from work on FB and most of them commented/liked my picture yesterday, so that takes care of them. Ha.
I decided to make cake pops to bring in today too. Except that I think I made them too big, because most of them cracked while the candy was setting. Weird? Oh well, they're still tasty. I ended up making a Pumpkin Spice cake and coated them in orange melts. Lots of work, but oh so tasty.
Now, for that lovely commute in! Have a happy Halloween everyone!

I am hoping work passes by quickly and I can get a good bit done. I am planning to eat lunch at my desk while working so I can leave at 3:30. I want to go home and get the kids ready for trick or treating and take a few pictures.
Good morning and Happy Halloween! No handing out candy for us tonight--I swear our condo has no kids around.
This weekend was nice--got some running in, went to our book launch party, did some quick errands (like getting a new print framed; it'll take three weeks to turn around, but I'm so excited to see it, the frame we chose is awesome), did some writing and reading. I also caught up on The Walking Dead and American Horror Story. I woke up last night thinking someone had grabbed my leg, so maybe I should lay off the creepy stuff for now. (Great timing, making that decision on Halloween.)

Hello ladies. Another Monday. It's been a busy morning getting a presentation ready for this afternoon, so just enjoying a quick down time and bite to eat before I go to that meeting in 10 minutes. Lots more meetings too, which is good as it makes the day pass faster, but bad because I don't have time to do the ton of work I need to do! I'm starting to get stressed, and that is the last thing I need right now.

Yeah, so people don't get it. Ha. The women seem to catch on a little quicker, but most of the men are just like "yeah, nice" when I ask them if they like my shirt.

Morning. This morning didn't start off too well. Woke up with a migraine and no Tylenol in the house. I stupidly attempted to go to the gym and it was so painful and I managed to dry heave a couple times. I've since obtained some Tylenol and chugged some Diet Pepsi.
This weekend was interesting. My brother ended up in the ER with medical emergency but he's ok but it was pretty scary. We had dinner with the family Saturday night.
Yesterday I got a lot of shopping done and it was exhausting. I managed to buy 2 bebands, 2 work out shirts, a pair of maternity pants for work, a pair of Lucky jeans (in a size up), a hoodie and 3 maternity sweaters. I went to bed pretty early last night.
Now I'm off for my blood work for my quad screen.

I am up and at 'em waiting for the maid service to arrive... I had no idea how excited I would be to have the whole house deep cleaned at the same time.

Today will be quite a long day. The ABET people are coming in today to evaluate the new civil engineering program so it will be pretty busy here. At noon we are having a luncheon for some of the seniors students, including myself, and the local professionals so I'm quite nervous about meeting all these people. Hopefully everything goes well.
Tonight I'm taking it easy, I've had a long weekend after taking my FE exam so we will not be doing anything big tonight.

We had a good weekend. One of Kyle's good friends was in from out of town so we ended up staying up entirely too late all weekend long. Luckily yesterday I had a chance to sleep in. The last market was good. We actually had our best one of the season. You could tell that we had people stocking up for the winter though. One couple bought 23 pounds of ground beef!
Otherwise, we had my Dad's birthday party. It was great to see all of the family as usual. Kyle starts his new job today. I'm anxious to find out how he's doing. I'm sure it will be a huge improvement over his previous job though. Tonight we'll be handing out candy, although we usually only get 5-10 kids. I'm thinking since it's Halloween we might also take the opportunity to get caught up on American Horror Story.
Boys are dumb.
I had the headache to end all headaches last night. Prescription ibuprofen finally made it go away, but I'm feeling a little rough around the edges this morning. Plus, I managed to cry three time over the weekend, so it wasn't the best for me.
I'm looking forward to skipping out a little early today so that I can go home and answer the door for trick or treaters (we have a ton) and get some more cleaning done before my sister comes on Thursday!!

This weekend was fantastic! I went shopping for a dress to wear to a concert and learned that I am officially two sizes smaller than I was. Woot Woot.
Saturday night we went out to dinner with a friend and then to see Fitz and the Tantrums. It was so much fun. We went to this restaurant called Grindhouse. "home of the killer burger" I had a drunken pumpkin milkshake. It was so good. The show was fantastic. Dh caught a drumstick and I got it signed by the band. I don't think I have had such fun at a show in a long time. They really rock the house. We also had a celebrity sighting. I've never seen a real famous celebrity in person and Marisa Tomei was at the concert. DH walked by and recognized her and she kind of hid back in the corner. I had to walk by next just to see if was really her. We didn't want to bug her but she's really pretty in person and short like 5'4.
Sunday I raided my closet and got rid of anything I haven't worn in a year, and things that don't fit anymore. It felt so good.

Today (while Gib is at school) I'm ripping my house apart and cleaning every nook and cranny and possibly re-arranging some furniture again. After school I'm taking to boys trick or treating for an hour or so then coming home and shutting all my lights off and maybe watching a movie or something.
Good morning ladies. We had a nice weekend but we were so busy I barely had time to relax. Oh well. I finally joined pinterest and I've become quite addicted. Now I see what the buzz is about.
Tonight we're going to hand out candy and order pizza. It's our first Halloween in the new house so I don't know whether we'll have a lot of kids or not. I bought three big bags of candy and a huge tub of pretzels to give out. Olivia will be helping to hand out candy in her ladybug costume. Happy Halloween everyone!
I'm stoked - I'm causally talking with two companies about possible employment opportunities. One is a small local company and the other is a fairly large internet company that I know many of you ladies visit.
I imagine tonight will be low key for us - last year we only got a handful of trick or treaters - but I'm going to make sure I have some candy on hand just in case.
