I miss regular cycles

BR whine...

I miss having a regular and predictable period.  The cycle after my D&C was about 30 days, then 24 days, then 22.  I'm at 23 right now, sore breasts, no period, and negative pregnancy tests (I've been a little too obsessive testing and I need to take a step back).  I feel like I am completely out of touch with my cycle.  Before I was on birth control (about 10 years ago), I was an every 3 week kind of girl.  I feel like my body is still deciding what it wants to be.

I've thought about starting to chart, but right now my schedule is so out of wack I wouldn't even know when to take my basal temps.  I'm working every other night for the next week, sometimes I can get an hour or two of sleep at night, other times I can't.  So for now, I'm going to hold off.

Re: I miss regular cycles

  • I think you can still get a lot of good information from charting if you're willing to check your cervical position. Between that and CM you should have a lot of the information you'd need. When I stopped BC, I had some CRAZY cycles. And just when I thought they'd settled down to something regular, they liked to change it up on me again. very frustrating!! the unpredictability of it all was pretty annoying so I feel ya on that.

  • Ugh! Crazy cycles are frustrating. So sorry. :-(

Honestly, charting might help your situation as you will be able to detect secondary signs of fertility (cervical mucous, cervical positioning, ovulation cramps, etc...) It might actually put your mind at ease. I actually chart without temping.
