How did you all do in this storm?
We lost our phone/internet/cable because the FiOs fiberoptic cable came down in my yard, right across the driveway. There is a very low (chest-height) sagging power line in the middle of my road, and despite neighbors putting flags on it, some idiot drove into it. We are all hoping that it doesn't come down, and that it is taken care of by the power company soon. The arborvides between my yard and a neighbor's all were bent to the ground with the heavy snow, and we don't know whether they will all survive this storm. They are 20+ foot trees and the pride and joy of our neighbor. It will be sad if they are gone. I could see my neighbor's first floor for the first time today, when I can usually barely see the second
Re: How did you all do in this storm?
Oh no
I hope the trees survive and that your fios line gets fixed soon!
The snow was an almost non-event at our house. We got an inch of slushy snow, but that was it, and most of it melted away during the afternoon yesterday. We were lucky enough to maintain power, too.
I ran outside just now and snapped pictures if our snow sculptures on my phone. The snowman has already lost his eyes, buttons and mustache, and is rapidly losing weight. But, the jack-o-lantern is still looking pretty good
