I finished it! Only minor flaws. Things I learned 1. Even if you read the directions 5 times already, check them again - you will end up with the seam in the front instead of the back. 2 once you pin something, turn it out just a little to make sure it will look right. (if not) 3. Trying to pull black thread out of black fleece without a seam ripper sucks!
Finished after D had gone to bed for the night. I will take a picture of him wearing it tomorrow and update :-)

It is a little too big. He only had a 16 in. head so I had to make some modifications.
and a side shot... The next one I will make the 4 top pieces a little shorter. This one is really tall on his round little head.

Re: A Crafty Mommy's Dino Hat - PIP *Updated*
I made one, too! I need to take a picture to PIP!
The tutorial was great! I read it 100 times, but mostly because I forget things quickly!

The directions were great. I had to modify mine quite a bit because there is a 3 in difference between our boys heads. The wrap around part fits great, the top is a little too big.
So cute! He looks like he likes it.
I have made three of these (not sure if it's the same tute?) before! I just adjust the size as needed. She had two that matched her coat last year, and then one to go with her Halloween costume (which she will be wearing again this year), the top to a cob of corn.
Great little hat, and you can also add a lot to it if you want. I did a velcro strap under the chin for her two regular ones to help keep them on.
