Looks like power may be out a long time- like a few days

Oh geez. Ours was out for 12 hours or so and I felt crazy- meanwhile it was all overnight so I think I'd be BSC in your situation. My SIL and niece are staying next door with my ILs. I imagine that they live near you, Melanie. I think they heard that power will be restored by Thursday? Are you home or did you find somewhere else to stay? I feel so badly for everyone going through this.

after 29 hours of no power.. we finally got it back a few minutes ago! still staying at my parents since the temperature dropped in the house. glad everyone is safe
dh has no work tomorrow. cant believe the first snow day is already being used!

I'm surprised you lost it! I lost mine in the apartment so I went to my parents' house. I was lucky they had it and stayed there. However, I did have to go down your block since I couldn't get to my parents' house. Those wires were scary!
We lost power at 6pm on Saturday and we are still out. My parents have a generator (that runs essentails) and live close so we are sleeping there and in and out of our house to check on the cat and fridge/freezer. I'm at work today staying warm. We are expecting power Tues/Wednesday. But Central Hudson really has no idea.
We have septics/wells, so we lose power we have no water and no toilets! Thankfully mom's generator runs this, even if the shower is by candlelight.
I hope it comes back soon! We got ours back late last night. I am sure you have probably done this, but I put my phone number on that central hudson list and they called me to tell me it was back within an hour.
