Walking Dead 10/30. SPOILERS
I'm glad something finally happened, but this of course makes me dislike Shane more than I already did. These last two episodes have been SO slow. They had better pick it up. I'm also hoping from some resolution on the Sophia thing very soon
Re: Walking Dead 10/30. SPOILERS
I'm starting to feel like if I missed an episode I wouldn't really miss anything. This episode just feels like a repeat of last week, and the week before. I realize Frank Darabont left, and a lot of the writing staff got let go/left or whatever, but really? Tonight's was an improvement, but still, pretty blah.
I do agree with wanting a resolution to the Sophia thing, it seems to be the one thing keeping the storyline from going anywhere with the rest of the group.
Otis pulled his hair. I don't really get why he shaved and didn't just say a zombie pulled his hair.
He shaved b/c he's HOT with short hair. That's enough explanation for me.
I'm glad that the story is picking up again. They either need to find Sophia or give up. I'm ready for some action.
lol- hotness indeed!
though i thought he shaved his hair b/c he realized that Otis had a pretty good grip on his hair- enough to rip some out while he was trying to get away- and he probably wouldn't want to be in that situation again- a little preventative maintenence so to speak.
i'm courious why the vet/dr would want them to move on once they find the little girl- as heard during the previews for next week. with Otis gone what protection/means to supplies do the people at the farmhouse have? and where are they getting electricty from anyway?
After last night's episode, I really do not like Shane's character at all. I get that they needed to pick up the pace to get away from the zombies, but Shane was injured and couldn't run that fast anyway. It looks like he might leave the group when they have to leave the farm though.
I really hope they move on from the car pileup next week. That storyline has been going on long enough and the chances of them finding Sophia probably aren't very good.
I am really liking this season, I'm not sure why everyone is so negative on it. Yes it is different and things are moving slower but I'm still enjoying it. Season 1 was such a short season, they had to move through story lines quickly. This season has more episodes so they have time to draw out the story lines a little more and add in more conflict between the characters. I agree about Sophia though. It's been long enough. Let's find her or move on. It's not looking good for her.
I didn't care for Shane much before. I mean really, I don't care if you think your best friend is dead, it showed a total lack of character to get involved with Rick's wife (sorry totally blanking on her name). Of course, I judge her for it too. However, I still was pretty shocked when he killed Otis, and surprised how much it bothered me since he was a new character. It just seemed so heartless. At the same time though, I think Shane realized it was his only chance of survival and something had to be done or they both would have died and Carl's life was hanging in the balance. I mean right before, Shane had fell and said he couldn't go on. They both realized they were down to their last bullet and not moving fast enough. He had to create a diversion so he could get away since his injury from falling out of the window was really slowing him down. Unfortunately, that had to be Otis.
The last scene totally creeped me out. I think he shaved his head because he didn't want the reminder of what he had done, and was realizing how much his perspective was changing in what he will do simply to survive. The way he looked in the mirror though, I think he's going to become more of a problem in the group as the season goes on.
I agree with GG.
I think it was a d!ck move on Shanes part not to shoot Otis in the dead. All the zombies wanted was food. If he had shot Otis in the head it still would have served a purpose. Now Otis will come back a zombie. And the thought of getting eating alive freaks me out. How painful.
I agree with you, but do you watch "The Talking Dead"? It's on at 11pm and they discuss the night's episode. They discussed this very idea, but said if the person is dead, the zombies won't eat them since it's not a "live" person or something. So their concensus was that had he killed Otis, it would have been for nothing as the zombies would have ignored Otis and kept going towards him, the "live meat" or something like that. Of course, that's all speculation too but that seemed to be the reason they came up with.
Morley cigarettes are actually used in a lot of shows--just the most prominantly in X-Files.
